Black Sheep Brasserie offers a variety of dishes, with the duck liver pâté and steak tartar being particularly enjoyable. The cast iron-seared duck breast, described as extraordinary and flavorful, is a highlight. The rack of lamb, accompanied by grilled leeks and green beans, was also delicious. The Brussels sprouts are a highlight, being exceptionally flavorful and well-cooked. The lamb chops were enjoyable, and the endive and pork chop received praise for their flavors, although the pork chop was undercooked. The spaetzle was criticized for being too al dente, while the Manresa bread had a burnt bottom, though the butter was smooth and well-received. The beignet, however, was disappointing.
The staff members are warm and helpful, making sure guests have the best experience possible. The indoor/outdoor seating creates a perfect setting for dining. The environment is comfortable, and the staff are friendly and attentive, often offering helpful recommendations. The cocktails are creative and excellent, adding to the enjoyable atmosphere. Despite occasional slow service and long waits for seating, even with reservations, the restaurant remains a favorite for many. Overall, the restaurant features some standout dishes, with Chef Nataneal’s culinary skills evident in the flavorful and well-executed meals.
