Good food, fast and friendly service, good prices for the quality and quantity.

Excellent, authentic Chinese and Vietnamese dishes in a white tablecloth setting. Reasonable service, normal prices in the heart of San Jose. You'll like it. We did.

This rating is for FOOD and VALUE. Service and interior design is meh haha. Anyways went here to celebrate lunar new year and ordered one of the family style meals for $22 per person plus tax and tip. I believe it was 8 courses and we ordered just one extra dish a la carte. Man the food was SO GOOD and portions were very adequate to feed our family of 12. Everything was absolutely flavorful and is better than some things I've had at Dynasty. I particularly liked the shaking beef (medium rare!) and salt and pepper crab (very flavorful!) The value was definitely worth it for the courses and types of food ordered. I would come back!

We just had the best experience at Bo-Town!! Kim was our server and she was great! She shared incredible stories with us about the culture and wedding event going on this evening. The food was delicious and the portions were huge!! Prices were affordable and definitely worth it. Kim sent us away with the cutest gift/good luck charm, we will definitely come back. Thanks Kim !

This place is very nostalgic for me because my mother used to own a salon on the same block decades ago. I passed by this restaurant all the time and it was one of my cousins favorite place to eat when we were little. As an adult, one of the very first dates my beloved boyfriend took me here to eat and now when we want to eat really tasty chinese takeout this is our to go place. Yes decor is outdated. Staff is haste and sometimes oblivious but they are older but they try their best. Food is always delicious and never fails to be tasty. I love this place so much that we are coming here for my grandma's 92nd birthday family get together! This is one of those establishments that have the large Vietnamese family vibe that you can't find as much anymore. I definitely recommend.

I've been here before the food isn't very satisfactory and the service was rude when I was trying to explain that their website was falsely advertising prices. I got upset and still eat here needless to say the food was alright but not for the price. Never Uber to a place at the last seconds especially when it's advertising false prices on the website. Thinking panda next time.

Located in downtown San Jose a few blocks from SJSU, Bo Town is a great place to get some Chinese-Vietnamese dishes at an affordable price. I ate here with my family yesterday (party of 7) and we all left feeling full and satisfied. Service: 4/5 When we arrived, the restaurant was pretty empty save for about 3-4 tables. Our family waited ~10 minutes for the server to finally arrive and take our order. Other than that though, we had a great time throughout our stay there. Food arrived very quickly, and the servers constantly moved the dishes around on the Lazy Susan to make way for more of them. Cleanliness & Decor: 4/5 The interior seems a bit outdated and could look to use some renovating, but other than that the place was pretty clean. I'm not looking for white tablecloths and fancy silverware at these types of restaurants, so if you have ample seating and tables big enough to accommodate large parties, then it's all good in my book. Taste: 5/5 We ordered the following dishes: . Sizzling rice soup . House special clams with basil . Clams with black bean sauce x2 . Honey walnut shrimp . Salt and pepper squid . Sweet and sour pork . Salt and pepper spare ribs . Deep fried tofu . Mixed vegetables . Beef chow mein . Combination fried rice Every dish that we had was absolutely delicious. From the soup, to the meat, seafood, vegetables, noodles, and rice, everything that we ordered was a hit. My grandparents tend to be very picky, and even they had to acknowledge that the food was very tasty. Price: 4/5 For the 12 dishes that we ordered, the bill came out to $213 (quite a good deal since we ordered a lot of food, and we were essentially paying $30 per person). Most of the dishes on the menu are under $13, and the portions that they give are quite generous. It's even cheaper if you come and eat during lunch hours, so take advantage of that if you can. Overall: 17/20 (4 Stars) Bo Town has become my family's go to restaurant if we are down for Chinese food. Good service and fantastic food for an affordable price all make this place a must visit in San Jose!

The inside looks quite nice and fancy, but the chairs were sticky. We split the crispy noodles with chicken and a plate of prawns with vegetables. Both were tasty, but they were both covered in the same heavy gravy. Those two dishes together were a bit much. If we had ordered rice, it might have helped. Service was attentive and polite and they even bagged our leftovers for us!

Horrible place! don't waste your time. I have finals and wanted to grab something to eat. I came in and asked for a Chicken vegetable Plate with a side of rice to go . They closed the bag tightly and I went on my way . I opened the bag and the sauce container was open and it had spilled. Secondly, they got the order wrong. Chicken doesn't sound like CHOW-MEIN. I called and the lady was rude she'd said "what do you want me to do now?". I told her I wanted my original order or a refund. And she went on tangent and screamed "why you leave if it was wrong". She refused to do a refund or make the original order . Save your time and money. This crappy chow mein was not worth $14 . I wouldn't be upset if the chow mein tasted good but it doesn't have any flavor and tastes old. WORST FOOD EVER! Horrible customer service.

I love this restaurant so much, it's actually one of my favorites in Downtown San Jose! The food is so good and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. I enjoy how "at home" this restaurant makes me feel. I 10/10 recommend the Honey Walnut Shrimp and Hot and Sour Soup, but I promise everything is amazing!!

We arrived here on a recommendation of a colleague for lunch. We walked in and were seated right away. We got the menu and were brought tea. We waited about 7-10 minutes till the man came by to take our order. I ordered the chicken chow mein, side of white rice, and an iced Thai tea. Our table ordered fried calamari and pot stickers. The fried calamari was crispy but there was no sauce to dip it into besides soy sauce. The pot stickers were bland. My chicken chow mein was super oily. It barely had any chicken. My Thai tea had too much ice. I never got my side of white rice. The food and service was poor. The staff was not attentive to our table. My first and last time eating at this establishment.

I have literally walked and driven past this place for YEARS, and for some reason just never considered it. Finally went for dinner and am so glad!

Food is good but service is not. I called them at12:00, ordered something to go. When I come there want to pick up my order, they thought I want order other one for here, and they got angry for me because of their mistake which is ridiculous. The funny thing is I said I want to pick up my order at first time. I think I won't go there again. That is REALLY disappointed.
