Parking: There are only two spots out in front of the store. The rest of the spots are all street parking. It's worth the walk, for parking. 💯

Kid-friendliness: Not recommended for small children. Do to all of the amazing selection of cooking ingredients. Though there are treats for the little to grab and go.

Nice place, friendly staff, but this is a pathetic excuse for a sandwich. They nickel and dime to make your sandwich whole, and then this is what they give you for it.

Definitely old school. You should visit because once this place is gone there will never be anything like it.

First time here. The store has history. It the oldest family owned eatery in the area. Been here since 1908. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but it limited The Navel Pastrami sandwich was good. The bread was very soft and fresh made. Could’ve had a little more meat on it. They also sell Italian food products inside the store.

I don’t get the hype on Reddit for this spot. It was really just sausage with pizza sauce in between bread. Nothing special. The sausage made me crave Top Dog (different “sandwich”) but better than the sausage sandwich here.

Definitely the most authentic and "real" Italian deli shop ever !!! Without the marketing and social media trick, Chiaramonte family has been serving the same thing in the past 115 years.

Ordered their signature Italian Sausage ? Sandwich, it doesn't have a fancy look, but the taste of their sausage and meatball sauce is really full of flavors, you can literally appreciate the spices of their recipe, this sausage is probably the best I've ever had.

The environment is not posh, but you can imagine the scenes that Chiaramonte family has been serving this neighborhood with the same heart and effort throughout the past century!!!

OMG!!! This place is HORRIBLE!!!! I ordered the well advertised sausage sandwich and was so disappointed!!! First, they take out a frozen sausage and they MICROWAVE it!! Just disgusting!! They MICROWAVE the bread with the condiments on it. Then they take the meat and put it on the bread and they MICROWAVE it again!!! To make matters worse, I go to take a bite of the sandwich and the meat is still COLD!! Buyers beware, do not waste your time or money there!!! You WILL be disappointed. I see why they had zero traffic. I paid $13 for the microwaved sausage sandwich and a bottle of Root Beer and ended up throwing that disgusting sandwich away. NEVER EVER again for me.

Quaint Historical Deli. We read about it in a book about the history of Italian’s in San Jose. We ordered a meatball sandwich and a 1908 Garlic Sausage sandwich. Both were delicious. The guy at the counter was very friendly and helpful.

Went there this weekend with family. Great ravioli and meatballs. Bought some sausage to go. Met Mr. Chiramonte and talked about his Grandfather and the history of the shop. Going back.

I haven't been back here since I was a kid came by to try the sandwiches out they were kind of out of a lot of stuff but this place was definitely amazing sandwiches are always amazing here and at a reasonable price if you're in town and you want a quick bite to eat they definitely got a nice sandwich

If you love history, tradition, family and a sense of community then this is the deli for you. Oh and the Sausage can't be beat!

This place is so good! I highly recommend the Pepper Steak sandwich with steak sauce, Dry-Cured Italian Salami sandwich, and the Hot Italian Sausage sandwich. The sourdough roll is soft and perfect. The service there is good as well! Looking forward to trying out their raviolis and pasta. This place has been here for a while, there’s great vintage pics and items to look at.
