My wife and I dropped in with our 4 mo old son at 5pm on a Friday. We were able to be seated instantly and felt more than welcomed that our son was there, which as new parents is always a comforting feeling.

Our server Kevin, and owner Liana took care of us from start to finish. They were extremely attentive and so kind. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, we got a cheese board, Mac and cheese, the Brussels sprouts, a salad and their chocolate dessert.

Everything was delicious and we can’t wait to come back again!

Went to Devine for my birthday yesterday, and we cannot stop talking about how much we absolutely loved it! The owner, Liana, and our server, Kevin, took such good care of us, and introduced us to a depth of flavor and variety in cheese that we didn’t even realize was there. We were even able to order a cheese tasting plate to go to continue to enjoy at home. The wines were also varied and excellent, and the food was just as delectable as the cheeses. Could not recommend this hidden gem enough for any occasion!

This place is the complete package if you’re going out on a date or with friends or family. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the patio area is great to relax, and the Service is top notch and pleasant. If you enjoy cheese, this is the place to go in all the bay area. All the other dishes are absolutely delicious as well.

This place feels like you're in Europe but with better service! Great food and ambience plus some of the best service we've had at a Bay Area restaurant.

Truly a hidden gem that everyone should try! The food and wine was fantastic!

One of my favorite wine spots! They have a good selection (both by the glass and bottle) plus fantastic cheese and more. They have preserved pinecones right now ? I hadn’t even realized that was a thing, but they were delicious. 10/10 worth visiting.

I was really impressed with this place for a number of years however my recent visit in October 2024 was lackluster. The wine selections seem like a last ditch effort, and the food has gotten more slim and less fresh/flavor depth seemingly since my previous visits. They seem to still do cheese well. My pasta wasn't hot, and they just weren't busy at all, not even marginally for a warm weather weeknight.

Devine Cheese and Wine is a real gem of a café restaurant in downtown San José. Hidden away on the north side of the old Christian Science Church building, it is well worth making the short walk from San Pedro Square. This place is a cheese lover’s paradise.
