Visited this place for the first time on a rainy day with my 4 year old. We are lucky enough to live walking distance away, so we made a break for it between rain drops. I was pleasantly surprised by the size and space and atmosphere! I walked into a big beautiful 2 room cafe with people reading at one table, a couple dining at another and some others working on laptops. I was actually worried that the ambiance wouldn't be right for a 4 year old with the people reading and working, but I had no reason to worry it turns out!

I love their carrot cake and chocolate cake. I haven't had their regular food but it looks pretty good when I've seen other customers eating. I generally stop in to get a treat for take out. The shop is understated and easy to miss- sort of in an odd corner of a strip mall. It's surrounded by chain stores and chain fast casual food. But don't let the look fool you- take a chance and support a mom and pop chocolatier! It's a nice place to grab a hot chocolate or pastry and do some work or reading. Staff are very nice. It looks like they have a pastry kitchen in the back of the restaurant so I believe they make their pastries and chocolates on site. It's definitely worth a stop. Addendum: I just heard they are closing down and their last day is Saturday 2/16/19. Very sad news!

My favorite place in the South Bay for truffles & carrot cake!

Really liked this place although I didn't get to try the hot chocolate and had to settle for hot cocoa instead. Drove 1 hour just for the hot chocolate, just to be told that it's sold out. Maybe it's better to up the inventory game otherwise by 2pm you're just gonna run out of hot chocolate and people who travel for hours to try it won't even get any. Hot cocoa was good tho.

Too bad they're closing. Discovered this place after I read about it in the San Jose Mercury news paper. Very very busy, very popular with the elderly crowd, so many of them lunching at 1 o'clock in the afternoon on a Thursday. The hot chocolate cups they had did look good. Super busy so not a good place to come for a quick lunch.

I am leaving one star because the tuna fish sandwich was quite tasty. The pickled onions on said sandwich were a delicious, and perfectly tangy addition, indeed. What my guests, and I, did NOT care for, was the offensive, disrespectful and RUDE affect of the man, making the drinks that day. :( We ordered the Chili Hot Chocolate, and unfortunately, did not care for it. For our taste, it was just too much chocolate. Not saying it was a bad or good drink, it just wasn't for us. When my friend approached the man behind the counter, with NOTHING but kindness, to ask for either something else, or our money back, he was instantly argumentative, which completely astounded my friend (and myself, my girlfriend, my mother, and most likely the other patrons). She proceeded to reason with him for nearly five minutes, at which point he tossed, not handed, but tossed, a $5 bill at her. Totally unnecessary behavior in ANY establishment. I will not be giving this cafe a second try.

Perfect place for freshly made Chocolates, Hot Chocolate, Pastries and regular Cafe Food. I'm very thankful that I found this place ! And I definitely recommend it !

Everything prepared at Dolce Bella is clean and delicious. Coffee drinks are very good. I love the Tuna Sandwich. Seems simple but Audrey has added her own touch. Of course the chocolates are top of the line, made in the shop, by Audrey. Too bad the owners of this property have raised the rent on a great neighborhood spot. They will be leaving in February 2019. Seems all the neighborhood shopping centers will be made up of the same stores and places to eat. I will miss meeting neighbors at Dolce Bella.

Came here a couple weeks ago with my boyfriend. Dont let the little shop fook you. There is plenty of seating in the other room and patio seating. The hot chocolate is dessert in itself. Very decadent and not at all bitter. I should of ordered a sandwich to go with it.

I LOVEEEEEE their hot coco!!!! It is so rich and chocolatey! I've had a couple of different things here. Normally I just order the hot chocolate. Their lattes and drinking hot chocolate are very delicious too. The drinking hot chocolate is very rich. Definitely recommend if you have a sweet tooth and are craving chocolate. We had breakfast sandwiches here too. They were smaller sandwiches, but the perfect size for us without making us super full. My favorite thing to order here is their warm apple crumble/streusel. It is SOOOO good! Plus it comes with ice cream. Make sure you use your yelp award for checking in! :)

I usually come here during brunch hours and I'll order a pressed panini with a side of arugula salad, a cup of coffee, and something sweet. My favorite happens to be the affogato, because I get my coffee and dessert all in one. This place has been a long time favorite of mine and I like to come here on valentines day with my boyfriend. The ambiance is very cozy and peaceful and there are always fresh cut flowers on each table. This place would be perfect for a brunch date because the atmosphere is great for meaningful conversations. I enjoy this place because their produce is freshly grown which means their menu is built around what's in season, and the staff here are really friendly.

They have great chocolate and it's a shame they have to close the cafe.
