Erawan Thai Cuisine is a family-run local Thai restaurant in South San Jose, now thriving on take-out orders and still popular among locals. Customers recommend dishes like red curry, duck curry, pineapple fried rice, basil stir fry, roti curry, chicken satay, and Tom Kha served in a fire pot. The portions are large, ensuring leftovers, and the flavors are phenomenal, with many dishes like green curry sea bass, Tom Kha soup, and eggplant being especially praised. The atmosphere inside remains cozy and pleasant, providing a nice dining experience, while parking is easy since the restaurant is not in a big shopping plaza. Recent reviews highlight the wonderful flavor of the food, and service remains good, with staff being friendly and attentive. Customers also enjoy the mango chicken, stir fry erawan dynasty chicken, and fried banana dessert, which add to the overall positive experience. Some mention that the menu sometimes lacks vegetables in certain dishes, and a few mushrooms may have a murky smell, but overall, many find this place to be underrated and worth supporting. The restaurant's consistency and good food make it a favorite spot on the Almaden Expressway side of San Jose.
