We visited this Korean BBQ place expecting a great meal, but unfortunately, the service completely let us down. The main issue was how incredibly slow they were to bring our orders. Even after multiple reminders, we waited far too long for basic items like meat refills and sides. It’s hard to enjoy a meal when you’re spending most of your time waiting. The food itself was decent, but the slow service overshadowed everything. Definitely not worth the frustration.

Horrible to see a single waitress running around to serve 10 tables each might constantly ordering dishes, and 20+ folks waiting to get served. Surely the food was super slow to be delivered, plate got burnt waiting for a new meat (can't turn off the fire as it will increase the work for the server to refire)

The seating system is extremely inefficient and are even failing to add peoples names to the waitlist. A mob of people were waiting at the front, and none of them were even being added to the waitlist. It was almost an hour since they called anyone to seating, and they persistently called the same team despite it being obvious that they are a no-show. We ended up waiting an hour, and our name was removed from the queue despite us not being called.

My wife and I went, first time, won't return. Here's why..... 41 choices on all you can eat menu , you pick 4 items initially at 6 pm on a Friday every choice picked was 86ed except 1. Then they were out of my substitute choice.... learn how to order or prep appropriately please. So rather than continue making choices they don't have we left. Thanks so much for the experience we shant return

Got charged an additional 120 for a party of 6 for two plates of shrimp that contained only 4 shrimp each plate. Waitress did not tell us about the up charge before ordering. The portion sizes were small and and the wait time was long. Bad service overall. Man who was helping out change the grills was amazing though. Would not recommend.

Gen really stepped their game up with the premium dinner option!! My biggest complaint prior to my last visit was that the meat seemed like very cheap quality & their dressing on the salad had gotten worse. But I was pleasantly surprised on my last visit. The wagyu, bulgogi & short rib were all deliciously tender. The marinade cajun shrimp was perfectly balanced & our server brought out an extra dish of the maranade which we used on the brisket. The dressing on the salad was better than it had ever been. The kimchi fried rice was cooked perfectly. The rice was nice & Fluffy, the seasoning was hitting. Whoever came up with this idea is a genius because honestly, I had given up on Gen. I only went because my partner wanted to go. & we both said that if it's not good this time, we'll just stick to other kbbq spots. We like quality & don't mind paying extra as long as we get value for our money. My only constructive criticism is that they need more staff. Our server obviously did the best he could. He was juggling MANY tables by himself. Even though they were clearly understaffed, he still managed to get us our banchan & a grill change. I feel like they NEED support staff. Since they have to serve a million side dishes, maybe they would benefit from someone serving it for them. Or a bartender who brings the drinks or an extra busser to pick up dirty dishes as they get set aside so that they don't pile up. Idk how or what they need, but they need SOMETHING 😅 other than that, the premium option was definitely a success, totally worth the $50!!! Next on the list should be premium desserts!

We had quite an experience at Gen Korean Bbq. It was our first time there. The flavors for everything we ordered were delicious. We didn’t get to try everything on the first visit. It was interesting to cook your own food! The service was great ! The atmosphere was also nice. We got seated fairly quickly with no reservations.. party of 7. Had a great time at this Korean BBQ spot with friends! The short ribs, Hawaiian steak, and bulgogi were all perfectly marinated and delicious.
