The service is kind slow probably because not many staffs. But our server was great. The food is good but they did not have the same meat like before so I deducted a star. The atmosphere is party like, they played loud music so not a place to chit chat.

Banchan was horrible, short rib has no favor. Food runner has attitude with no communication skills. There are way better Korean barbecue places to go then Gen.

Food was as expected. Went for a birthday celebration and received mediocre service from every level we encountered. From a lazy greeting at the door a non energetic welcome to say the least and almost annoyed to have to seat the three of us. Not a huge party at all. Our server had no enthusiasm or life in her whatsoever… we have to cook our own food, might as well have stayed home where we wouldn’t have felt like such a burden on the staff. We should have apologized for visiting the place they chose to work. First time visiting this location, don’t think we’ll be going back ever.

Great place to get your fill of food but don’t expect high quality meat. Table service was great but girl at the cashier was bad energy.

I had one of the worst dining experiences of my life at this Korean BBQ. My two friends and I were just trying to go out and enjoy our Friday since we don’t really see each other often.

We found a hair in our food, told the server, and he said he’d change the grill and let the manager know. 10–15 minutes went by — nothing. No grill change, no manager. When someone finally came to change the grill, they asked if we wanted it changed, like no one had even told them what happened.

Another 20 minutes passed, still no manager. I was literally scanning the restaurant to see if I could spot the manager. When a “manager” finally showed up, all she did was ask where we found the hair. Then the actual manager finally came and said she would “check with her kitchen team to see what happened.” Seriously? There was a hair in the food — what do you mean “what happened”? Then she tried to brush it off, saying everyone in the kitchen wears hats and “it could’ve been anything.” This was a dark, small, curly hair — and we had already been waiting 30–45 minutes at this point for someone to even address us.

Her solution? Offer us a couple of drinks or take one person off the check. We decided to take one person off and just try to move on — until we found another hair in the meat. This time, the manager actually brought the hair back to our table, made us look at it, and said, “Oh, it looks orange,” basically accusing my friend. My friend has long reddish hair, but she wasn’t cooking or reaching over the grill — and the hair was short, like a beard hair.

At this point, I told her we were done and wanted to leave. There were three of us total, and while we were sitting there angry and talking it over, my friends mentioned that when we first sat down, they had seen a hair on the grill but stayed quiet because they thought it was theirs. I told the manager this, but she STILL tried to blame us, insisting the last hair “had to be” my friend’s because it looked orange.

Then she came back with the bill, and we were charged for two people and two sodas. Absolutely zero effort to make things right. The manager was slow, defensive, never smiled, and handled the entire situation horribly from start to finish.

We were decent people and still paid and tipped, even though this experience made us want to walk out without paying because of the horrible service.

Over the course of our meal, we ended up finding three hairs total in our food. I’ve never felt the need to write a review until now, but this place was completely unacceptable. Save your money and go somewhere that actually cares about its customers.

I come here on a daily basis. On Friday’s, it’s hit or miss on how busy they can be. I prefer to come during weekdays as the wait time is less and the service is quicker. Overall, I love this Gen. I strongly recommend this location as the servers tend to also be very kind and attentive.

Extremely frustrate experience:
The waitress is rude answering any questions, for items on the menu that were are were responded with “we dont have any xx” like we are ordering something so strange like a shovel whilst drinking glue.
While serving dishes never provided on names of the meat, always dropped and left.
The fried rice was served without a spoon.
The empty grill is burnt and smoking without asking to replace.
Do not recommend and will not return.

If you are up for lots of Korean bbq meat, go to this place during lunch. 22 of us reserved a table for lunch there. Meat was fine... but they designated only one server...for 22 ppl... Service was very slow because there was only one server for us. She often forgot our order food comes late. Even though we pay for 18% for tips already in our price... after all that, they still wanted us pay more tips!! If I go there as a small group...like two to three...I would go again. Maybe...

The concept here is you get 90 minutes to order most anything you want. Food was good, service was good and the atmosphere was ok. Kind of hot with the burner right next to you. You come out kinda covered in splattered with food grease.

Great price for an AYCE (prices attached below). Servers were friendly and attentive, service was good. Meat pretty nice and you could select a variety. Only problem was the ventilation, as smoke would often come in my direction. Another thing a reviewer pointed out was that is wasn't advanced technologically, especially for a kbbq place, as the servers would need order your items personally.

Great deal for 20$

Food was ok

Menu not physical

Service nice, forgot things sometimes but the waiter was a champ handling all the tables by himself essentially.

Pay that kid more!
