Terrible service, we were 7 they wouldn’t give us a table of 8 so we had to eat on two separate tables of 4 like we’re strangers. They also charged my girlfriend a full fare just because she tried two bites of meat from my plate.Too bad because the bbq is actually good with a wide selection of meat.

Throughly enjoyed our meal here. The seating is more of communal style so expect to share your table with others. We didn’t mind. But just something to note. Although unlimited the portion sizes are rather small so I would suggest you order a lot at once if you’re n a big group or you’ll keep running out of food like we did. Also I felt like there was limited appetizer options as opposed to other Gen Z spots I’ve been to but the few we did try (Korean fried chicken) were pretty good.

Wow. Best dining experience I’ve ever had our waitress… not sure what her name was… maybe kim or kayla… was the most beautiful woman on this planet. Her eyes were so gorgeous I was lost for words and forgot to order another round. 5/5

We sat down for lunch on a Sunday ready for a nice meal. The difference between the weekend and the normal days is that they always charge dinner pricing even for lunch. And that's fine because they have the premium meats like Galbi but today they were out of not just Gabli. They were also out of pork belly as a Korean. Sometimes I go to Korean BBQ just for the pork belly if they don't have that. It's not even really Korean barbecue however, that's beside the point. They still tried to charge the full price for dinner even though they didn't even have a full lunch menu. which means that they're only available with chicken and some squid and shrimps. Charging 30 bucks is ridiculous for something that was less than the lunch menu. They were telling us that we would have to wait for these items to be delivered and I simply asked. Is there any promise that the items would get delivered in time for us to finish our meal? And if not then we would like to know ahead of time and we can just come back another day. Or perhaps you can offer us the lunch pricing as you don't even have the full menu for lunch available right now. Regardless of the day, the server seemed like her brain could not compute the very reasonable request, so we decided to walk and find one of the other 10,000 restaurants in San Jose, I do hope the server and or the restaurant can consider and or offer training for this server

Emily was great and very attentive to our large party. The service was super slow and the other servers forgot to bring out my friend's order of glass noodles 3x. I think she finally got her noodles towards the end when we were all full and ready to go. I understand that it was a busy Saturday evening and they were probably short staffed. But Emily was great by coming to our table every 15 minutes to check in our order. I normally don't go to Gen for K-BBQ but if Emily is there, I wouldn't mind going back. Or just having anyone else just as great and attentive as she was. Thanks Emily! :-)

We had a terrible experience in this rest. We are tourists from Canada and came to this restaurant for lunch with family. We wanted to pay for the bill and treat our family ( before we finished the lunch). I went to pay and assumed there is a service charge already. There was a tip section AFTER I paid and I put $10 ( thinking there is already a service fee added when I originally paid). They gave me a receipt and I went back to our table. Just before we left the waitress comes and asks for more tip to the whole table saying you did not pay enough. We were so confused and payed another $20. If I misunderstood the tipping system they should just said it when I paid and I would just give more tip, no big deal. The staff were rude, unprofessional, and gave horrible service at the table. The food was okay however the horrible service and how they treated us is the reason for the 1 star.DO NOT GO HERE.

Price is really good especially for Bay Area. Personally I wouldn’t bother with any of the appetizers other than the hotteok. Good variety of offerings.

Great customer service. Emily held it down for sure for handling a big party. Called in 2 days prior to reserve a spot they took care of us right away. Portions of each dish was decent, but it was just enough to hit the spot
