New name at the location is danbi. Some of the food was fine, but the beef soft tofu soup was indescribably tasteless. Like hot water with a hint of spiciness. Sad effort at that price.

On a late night, cold rainy day, Korean TOFU SOUP is the first thing that comes to mind. I was surprises there was a decent amount of people here. For a mom and pop, the owner was SUPER friendly and most of the customers seem to be regulars. He makes you feel at home. Tofu Soup - Satisfied my cravings, nothing special but the service. Anyways, I definitely recommend y'all stop by and try out their dishes!

This restaurant has been changed to a place called Dan Bi, and the review is about Danbi. The food is really, really good. The meat is hands down the best part of the food. I got the kimchi fried rice, and it's been the best one I've ever tried.- certified fat Asian man

Food was very mediocre. Owner is known to be aggressive, violent, and unstable. i witnessed him threatening to sue a customer for defamation just because he said that there wasn't a fried egg in the actual kimchi fried rice in comparison to the menu. also, he tried to take pictures of their license plates as they got up and left. crazy man. save yourself the stress and get out of here.

Terrible owner, minimal service, run down atmosphere. Looks like they stopped trying and are cutting costs at the expense of the customers. Plenty of other Korean restaurants that are much better!

Hanul Korean was a great place to eat, I usually got the mulnaengmyeon and yuk gae jang. You have to ask for kimchi and its usually 1-3 side dishes. I came yesterday to dine in and its now Danbi Korean Restaurant and their grand opening is supposedly today, I saw them turn away quite a few people while they were finishing remodeling the inside.

We ordered Kimchi fried rice which is $13.99 in the picture. When it came it came without the fried egg shown in the picture so I asked the owner. He said it is per request only so I asked for the egg. He then said ok its $2. I asked where on the menu it said that and he said it doesn't have to be on the menu and he will charge us. I said then why does it have the egg in the picture? He said it doesn't matter he will do what he wants. We ordered gook bob- please see how much rice he gave. Speaks for itself. The table behind us didn't order side dishes so I pointed at the sign and told them that it was only available upon request. I also told them that the fried egg on the fried rice is $2 extra but that is not on the menu. He got super angry and told me he will sue me for defamation. He started yelling in front of the customers saying he would teach me a lesson and I would be getting a letter in the mail. He said that talking to his other customers is a crime. All the customers were visibly uncomfortable and when a customer came in he walked to take the order and the first thing he said was "Do you know what defamation is?" He also kept pointing at all the cameras and threatening me. I told him if he believes I committed a crime inside his restaurant he is more than welcome to call the police. He refused (obviously). We paid for our food and I left saying I would be looking forward to the letter from his lawyer in the mail. He walked outside the building with us with his phone to try to take a picture of our license plate.

Small mom & pop place with authentic Korean comfort food. Black bean noodles with pork and seafood pancake. Fresh kimchi, and had to ask for other side dishes. Will come back again.

You can tell the owner is very conscious of any additional costs and efforts. It's a small family-ran restaurant, old interior, unlevel wall pictures, and mediocre food. Pancake and fried rice are bland, no frying aroma at all.. also this is the first Korea restaurant that I've ever seen that says on the wall that you need to ask them for small dishes, instead of being provided at first thing.

Very homey Korean spot that has all the classics! The service was wonderful and we felt very welcome. The food came out pretty quickly as well. I enjoyed the kimchi pancake and noodles. The portions were ample. While it is a bit on the pricier side, it is reasonable because it's a mom and pop business.

Omg!! So authentic! So delicious! I can’t wait to stop by again from Watsonville, Ca! Their Kimchi soup is unforgettable! My daughter loved the ramen. My friend loved the fried rice. I am now obsessed with the seafood pancake! Try them all!

First time here and I love it. Very cozy place, it feels like more of a family business with homemade dishes. The interior is simple and might need upgrade. But the staff is very friendly, smiley and welcoming! The price is moderate, I'd say it's even cheaper than other Korean restaurants. My choice was fried rice and BIbimGukSoo. Delicious! If you don't like spicy food, just don't add the sauce. They serve you with water and side dishes. They accept Amex. You can pay beforehand and save time after you finish.
