Great cute ramen spot in the heart of San Jose downtown. Love their veggie miso ramen. I used to drive down to Campbell location and this new location is a boon.

The menma was dressed with fried garlic and chili oil and went very well with beer. I ordered the Creamy Ramen (vegi) as a novelty, and it was very delicious with the flavor of the soy milk and dashi stock. The fried kale was flavorful and had no bitterness.

There's no menu at the table just the QR code at the table where you order and pay by yourself. There is no Wi-Fi provided by the restaurant either.
Miso ramen was good but the portion was small. I'd suggest ordering extra noodle for $2 more.
Parking: This location is on the same street as ParkSJ San Pedro garage. It's a paid parking garage but first 90 minutes is free.

Delicious ramen that is actually spicy! Every restaurant I go to, I tell the waiter: "Make it as spicy as possible. I'm not joking. As spicy as possible!" It's never spicy... but THIS place finally delivered. I finally got what I wanted. Some ACTUALLY spicy ramen. ( Make sure to ask for spice level 10 or above.) Thank you. Thank you so much.

We tried the downtown Hinodeya on Friday night at 5:30 pm. We walked in and were seated right away as they only had a few tables occupied. When you arrive, they bring you water right away and then the ordering is done on your phone. You do not place an order with a server. They tend to leave you alone so if you had any questions you better ask while the water is brought to you. Once you've scanned the QR (so over QR menus btw) & placed your order, the food comes pretty fast. Once you've gotten your food, you don't really see the waiters much anymore. You've gotten your food and you have paid so what more do you need? We had to flag someone down to get containers and a bag for the leftovers. Aside from the no contact ordering, the food is very good and tastes fresh. The servings are plentiful and we all enjoyed everything very much. The clam ramen is fabulous! They give you sooooo many clams! We had never had that before, nor thought of the combo...delish! My one complaint is the seating. I have a really difficult time with hard chairs and they are straight wood. I guess I'm thankful they aren't metal at least. :) We already loved the Campbell location so I'm glad this is close to my work.

The long standing stories of this shop is needless to repeat. The htting drum is fasinating and is inviting the incoming customer nowhere can be found. Energetic staffs serving customers over tables. The spicy level tags a price. The digital menu is hidden behind the table tag. The shop located centrally in the heart of City right next to the San Pedro Square Market Garage. The garage is so good to be true free for first 1.5 hours weekend. Enjoy your meal.
