Reached House of Bagels around 10 AM on a weekend, and there was already a huge line outside the door—which definitely raised my expectations. Even though the line was long, it moved at a surprisingly good pace, and we were able to place our order in about 20 minutes.

No-frills bagel spot that does the basics really well.

They offer a huge variety of bagels and cream cheese combinations. There’s almost always a long line, but the service is very quick, so it moves fast. Clearly a popular spot, and for good reason. They’re very generous with the cream cheese and never stingy with portions, which I really appreciate. The prices are also very reasonable. The couple that runs this place are some of the hardest working people I know.
Whether it is good management, or a supportive customer base, the bagels are always fresh and much of it runs out by the early afternoon.
The owner also makes a great ice mocha!
