This place is fire! But sad they took out the veggies and skin option. I seen the owner comment about having to change things up. But honestly, I'd pay more for those options. The pricing was great before, and felt like highway robbery. But im pretty sure most customers wouldnt mind paying a little extra to get the veggies and skin option back.The amount you guys would put. I'd pay about $18 for it!

i live thus restaurant i wudh they were open later and mire iften they are skesys clised its impossible to get it for dinner bdvause they clise so early snd are only open like. a couple if dsys a week. but the. teracji vimbo plate. oh my hod it just melts in your mouth bedt ive ever ever tasted. ih and the srvice they are kind of rude i think its family based. no smiles. nothing. but tjd food amazing house of teriacki work on your oeople skills and open more. and u will ne perfect

Not sure what has happened but their closing hours for the last month+ have been all over the place. They originally closed at 5PM; however it was randomly closing at all times between 3-4PM, which makes it hard to even order food from them before they close. Now I noticed Yelp marked this business as closed. It's unfortunate because this place had great food...

I always get the same thing when I come here. Large spicy no-skin chicken teriyaki, double rice. Great flavor (tip: you can buy the teriyaki sauce in a bottle if you really want it), great volume of food, fresh and hot.Takeout only, but it's the best Teriyaki in town IMO

Had chicken teriyaki with miso soup. Soup was delicious and chicken and rice was scrumptious large portion for late night eats

Usually food is decent, but today the food was disgusting! The meat was gross, it was probably expired. Im not sure about that place anymore.

Loved the quality of steak they use for beef teriyaki! Hella makes me reminiscent of that small mom and pop place I used to go to when I was young. Pickled veggies and fresh rice ftw

Hands down the BEST teriyaki chicken you're gonna find in the Bay Area. The chicken is cooked well, the steak is medium, and the sauce has ruined most other teriyaki sauces for me. Most Japanese restaurants have teriyaki as the safe option, but at HoT, it's the star. ✨In my recent visit, it seems they no longer offer the teriyaki pork option or steamed veggies. I am assuming this is due to supply/demand issues. Not the end of the world. I didn't take a photo of my latest order because I was HANGRY, so I've shared an older photo which is still pretty representative of the portions and how the steak looks. ?I like to get the half and half with a side of egg roll. The portions are huge, so I usually get at least two meals out of one order!Their sauces come in regular, mild, and spicy. If you like sweet and savory sauces with a good kick of spicy, GET IT. It's not overpowering with just the right amount of heat. You can buy bottles of their sauces for about $5 a bottle, and it is 100/10 worth it.Orders take about 15 mins to prepare, so take a walk around or grab lumpia from Gabrielle's next door while you wait!

By far some of the best teriyaki out there. I have tried plenty of places and this one has some of the best steak teriyaki ever. No other place can compare to the steak they prepare. Usually places give thin slices of steak or ribs, but this place gives big cuts and perfectly cooked to your desired state. They also have solid sides of egg rolls and gyozas that are nice and crispy. They sometimes have some milk tea that is also good. Highly recommended
The food exceeded my expectation! I was in the mood for some steak teriyaki and found this place. Their steak is no joke! It's not some thin beef bits. I got the small bowl but the portion was generous! The meat was perfectly cooked. I will definitely come back!!!

Has gotten a little pricier but their Katsu plate w/ spicy teriyaki sauce is a killer for sure.

When I don't know what I want to eat I can always count on being satisfied with house of teriyaki! My regular order is the chicken katsu and I've never had a bad experience with it and I've even gotten a lot of my family members to eat and enjoy the food here

What is happening to this place?!! Used to be the spot, but lately it's been missing the mark over and over. Hours are weird, never know when they're really open. When you call and find out they are open, they still run out of stuff before closing. Today was our breaking point when the lady at the door was obviously annoyed that we came in around 4:20 (40 mins before closing). She informed us they only have enough rice for one plate. We decided to take it with a side of chicken to make rice ourselves at home. She begrudgingly took our order and seemed displeased with our presence the entire transaction. Her face practically shouted, "How dare you come in now and bother me. I wished you would've just left when I said we are out of rice." I just can't with how she treated us. Not giving this place 1 star simply because it used to be great and we have had many great meals with pleasant service in the past. They were really, really good to us once. I hope they will get back to how they were, but things at the moment aren't looking very promising. It's so unfortunate.

Bomb teriyaki place at an affordable price. You simply cannot beat the quality of food at this price point, yet alone the quantity. My wife absolutely gets cravings now for their teriyaki steak. Their hours are a little shorter due to staffing as of late but we try to order from them whenever possible.
