Super busy on the weekends. Especially starting from 11:30 am or so. The food is solidly executed. Flavors are crisp and ingredients fresh. Flavor profiles were good. The place is quite loud as it is popular. The only thing I would hope for is the floors and bathroom to be cleaner.

Ambiance Typical Pho place. Tables are somewhat tightly arranged but didn't feel too cramped. Fairly clean, no frills. Service Fast, efficient, courteous. No checking in between though. Sit down, order, food delivered, pay, and get out please. But they are nice about it. If you call one of the servers for help, they will. Food My go-to place for Bun Bo Hue bowl. Just the right amount of spicyness, flavorful. Right amount of noodle and mix of stuff, but would have been nice to have more than one piece of pork knuckle in the BBH Gio Heo bowl. Side dish Banh Beo was tasty and Banh Ram It was interesting with the crispy part having soft rice cake inside. Do eat them with the sauce that came with it though, otherwise they are rather bland. Their water always has a weird smell/taste. Wife said it smelt like chlorine. I don't know what it was, not just from the lemon slice that they put in it. I might get bottled drink next time. Cost/Tips Practice Cost was not bad considering the taste profile matching my preference. Meal for two with 2 bowls of noodles and an appetizer plus tax and ~12% tips was just under $40. Pay at the counter, tip request was the usual flip over PoS with 15% lowest option, I did custom amount.

I was excited to try a Vietnamese restaurant when I was visiting San Jose knowing that there is a large Viet population here. We decided on Hue Restaurant as my family is from the central region of Vietnam and I don't often get to eat this cuisine unless I'm visiting my grandma. The restaurant was very busy when we got there, but the wait was only about 15 minutes. It is a bustling location with servers working efficiently running orders and clearing tables. We were sat at a table with a QR code menu to order directly to our table, but some tables don't have this and they will come by with menus. The food was served very quickly and plates were taken almost immediately after finishing. We got banh beo (5/5), banh ram it (4/5), mi quang (3/5), and bun bo hue (5/5). The food was pretty good and I enjoyed the banh beo and bun bo hue the most. The banh ram it has a really interesting text, but it could have used a nuoc cham on the side as it was a bit bland. The only dish that was just okay was the mi quang. I may be a bit biased as my family is from where this dish originates (Quang Nam) and I am very familiar with this dish. I found that it was a bit too sweet and there was just way too much noodles. There was barely any soup to noodles and felt more like a noodle salad. We ate as much as we could and there was still at least half noodles left. I still enjoyed my experience here and am happy to see a successful Vietnamese restaurant that has a wide variety of dishes from the central region.

Very fresh and taste great good central Vietnamese foods. Friendly service and can get crowded for evening hours. Located in the busy plaza junction of silver creek and aborn rd.

Came here when they first opened and got the bun Bo HUE... was not impressed. Just came back and gave it another try. It was good and their menu has changed as well as their dining experience. You can scan a QR code to order now, so it makes it easier. Their tip selection recommendations starts at 10%... which is unheard of nowadays. Most places shame you to tip at least 20%, but not here. They played modern Vietnamese music in the back. It was clean and the food came out quick and hot. I got the Bun Bo Hue with Pork Knuckles. It was good, good level of spice. Comes with beef, pork, and blood cubes. Overall, great place to eat with family.

This restaurant was highly recommended so I had to check it out when I was in town and it definitely did not disappoint! Honestly, I think this restaurant may be the best noodles I've had in San Jose! I heard they tend to get packed fast but luckily when my family and I went, it wasn't too bad! They had originally seated us in a booth all the way in the back (next to the kitchen). There was a lot of foot traffic in that area, especially with the kitchen being right there, a lot of servers were walking pretty fast back and forth with swinging doors where my family and I didn't feel safe sitting. Luckily, we were able to move seats but I wish they had seated us elsewhere from the beginning since there were about 4 open tables when we arrived and there wasn't a line. That was our only hiccup during my visit, the food was delicious and authentic! We had ordered their - bun bo hue (spicy beef noodle soup): 10/10, the broth was so flavorful and loaded with meat and noodles - bun rieu (crab & pork paste rice noodle soup): 10/10, again super flavorful! - grilled pork w/ rice + veggies: 8/10, it was solid just like any other spot - grilled chicken w/ garlic noodles + veggies: 7/10, their chicken was a little dry but their garlic noodles were sooo good without being super greasy! I would definitely come again and recommend this restaurant, just be aware of being seated at that last booth near the kitchen. However, the food was delicious and made up for it!

The service was quick and efficient, we ordered on our phones and received the food relatively quickly! It was a busy day, so the place was packed with a lot of people. We got the Banh Ram It which was crispy and fresh. It was paired with their fish sauce and was a good appetizer. I got the Mi Quang which was a bit on the sweeter side for me.The serving sizes are big and definitely worth the price!

This spot is my absolute favorite for authentic Vietnamese cuisine from the Middle Region. You've got to try these must-have items: Banh Beo Banh Bot Lộc Banh Ram It Bún Bò Huế Cơm Hến These dishes are not only my personal favorites, but they're also bursting with flavor and offer a variety of textures with each bite, from the appetizers to the main courses. If you're craving authentic Asian cuisine, this is the place to be. Pro tip: Visit on weekdays to avoid the crowds. If you're coming on a weekend for lunch, be prepared for a wait--the line can get pretty long.

The food is always delicious here. One of my go to spots for viet food. I love ordering their appetizers to share and their soup specialties are a good portion of food to also share. I love getting their Mì Quãng and Bún Bò Huế. It's always pretty busy during meal times especially on the weekends so go earlier to secure a spot. The servers are friendly and accommodating. Make sure to pay at the cash register, they don't hand you the check. The place is spacious with booths and chairs.

This is the best place in the Bay Area to have Bun Bo Hue and other specialty dishes from the central region of Vietnam.
