We enjoy our meals at Human impression. It's a bit on the expensive side but the food is delicious. It does have wait time up to 15-30 min but it's worth the wait. Staff is very friendly even for non-native speakers. Highly recommend if you're willing to wait!

I’ve been coming to Hunan Impression for over 8 years and the service is consistently excellent. I’m vegetarian and they have plenty of options. My go-tos are the eggplant, the lotus root, and the cabbage (I order it without pork). The cabbage in particularly outstanding.

I also tried the popular flaming fish in chili oil dish with soft tofu instead of fish (this is not on the menu but I insisted). I could tell the dish would've tasted much better with...

Hunan Impression in Sunnyvale is one of the top Hunan restaurants in the Bay Area. The menu is very similar to Ping’s Bistro in Fremont. We ordered the Pork Ribs with Salted Egg Yolk, Sautéed Beef with Wild Rice Bamboo Shoots, and Stir-fried Cured Beef with Garlic Sprouts (Leeks). Overall, the dishes were well prepared and nicely presented.

If there is room for improvement, one of the spare ribs was very tough to chew, and I wished the portion of cured beef...
