Looking for a soulful restaurant with good wholesome food 👌🏾 this is definitely a go to spot in San Jose,the smothered chicken with Mac and cheese and greens are my go to...the ox tails 😋 an absolute must try if you have never experienced smothered ox tails...the rib tips is highly recommended with any meal,I have tried anything on the menu I wouldn't recommend trying,everything is good you definitely won't be disappointed and the prices are reasonable.

Loved it, superb spot. Hard to find as it is tucked away. The best way is going northbound on N First street and turning into the parking lot, which was pretty big. Food was amazing, the dinning room was huge and had a good lively vibe. The chicken has a heavy smoke flavor and was super tasty and seasoned to perfection. The pulled pork was tender but could use a bit more flavor.

The food was the bomb! The mac and cheese was off the hook delicious. I couldn’t stop eating it! My hot link was cooked perfectly. My wife had the fried fish with the yams and fries, and loved it. In fact, my son, who had the maple pecan waffles and chicken, finished off my wife’s fish, along with the cornbread muffin and fries. The food was so delicious that my wife came back to the downtown location the next night with her friends before they went to see “ And Juliet”...
