The chocolate chip cookie was sooo good , I got a slice of guava cake and it was spongy and dry I wish I just got cookies. The customer service was amazing and it’s very aesthetically pleasing inside.

If you're looking to support a small-business or a Latina-owned business that has yummy treats and exceptional customer service, this is the spot for you!! Elvira, the owner, is incredibly sweet and is genuinely interested in supporting local organizations and causes. K&J catered for a large youth event at my workplace, and I could not have asked for a better food provider. Her husband delivered the food and set it up, and she rolled with the punches when I had to make an edit to my order day of. She was flexible and still friendly. We will definitely look for opportunities to continue to work with her and her team.

Definitely one of the more welcoming nicer cozier more comfortable spots in the aggressive and often unwelcoming downtown San Jose. tres leches cake is my favorite

Family owned and ran. Great aesthetic. Sweetest people ever. Sweetest smell ever when entering the shop. They have everything you would want in a bakery. Every empinada flavor you can think, fluffy cakes with handmade fruit coatings, cookies that are perfectly textured and fun! The espresso options are superb as well. Thank you for the dirty chai! They were also so kind in not rushing us and talking to customers like actual people. We felt like part of the community instantly. Thank you!

I love the place and the dessert and the drinks. They have a cute background for the holidays or just a background of their logo. Go support them and they are supporting the community of San Jose.

Got a variety of cupcakes for Christmas. The cupcakes & frosting were not too sweet. Will definitely try something else.

Cute little shop. Had the best pork tamale that I've ever eaten. ?
I don't eat tamales often though... so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about. Would love for someone to confirm. ?

Parking: There is a bit of 2 hour street parking on third next to the shop. Otherwise I think you'll need to pay for parking.

I had 9 mins left on the meter so I decided to go into the store for an iced coffee! When ordering I decided on an iced mocha instead and my buddy the green matcha. Not only was it good, it wasn't overwhelming sweet. Hit it right on the nail with taste, coffee, and sweetness. Not a lot of places know how to do that. Will be back to try the pastries! ?

Homemade bakery! baked goods are above the rest.El marranito is exceptional. Light, with all the spices it’s supposed to have. Their marble cake is spongy and not too sweet. She makes them all herself. It is worth the drive for me coming from several miles away. Excited to try their other items. Friendly service. Have dessert after having lunch at Iguanas ??

Favorite lunch spot. Their ham torta is my ultimate favorite. Reminds me so much of Mexico with the sesame bun bread and thick queso fresco with Jalapeños.
I also highly recommend their matcha drinks & churro cheese cake.

I went here for the first time with my boyfriend because we were in the area and had been wanting to try it (we’re K & J so it was especially cute and personal for us to try lol) So we went in and it took awhile to find what we wanted since there was a great selection of goodies, but the staff was extremely patient with us and kind when we ordered. The inside was uniquely decorated and even had a photo section that other people were taking photos in. We waited for only a few minutes for our order and when they had it ready they let us pick out a free baked good!! We were both very surprised and excited and left with a bunch of things from the store. My favorite was the matcha latte, strawberry banana smoothie and the tamales. My boyfriend loved the mango cake and strawberry empanada :)
