We had the pleasure of eating at Sushi Expo in San Jose, which has since closed. To our absolute delight, our favorite sushi is back! A new location called Kizuna Sushi in Cupertino. Our menu favorites are tasting so wonderful after time away. A few added new items to the menu to keep it interesting. Quality food, wonderful service from kind friendly owners. I appreciate that my favorite sushi is part of my go to once again!

This place has always been out of the way for me, but I always tried to visit when I'm out there. I've made a point to bring visitors from out of state there, just to try their curry. It was phenomenal. Rich, meaty, and complex. The ton katsu was also fantastic.

The original Kizuna was amazing as a homey place for good Japanese comfort food. Not like Hyuga that left me stressed out and underwhelmed. Plus the side of salad with carrot dressing (super Japanese) and macaroni salad only added to the homey vibe. It was my go-to place for years and the curry had such a rich flavor to it. I wish the original owners well in their retirement, it was a place us locals always loved coming to.
