Kowloon Kitchen Take Out

This is a small mom and pop operation. The kitchen is tiny and they only do takeout. They have a surprisingly large menu for the number of staff and the size of the kitchen.

We ordered egg foo young with beef for the two of us. The amount of food was generous and flavorful although it tasted too salty. A cup of water would fix this. The vegetables in the omelet were unobtrusive. The serving had some rice but it was mostly the egg and and some beef that formed the bulk of the food. The egg omelette had an interesting texture. It was puffed really high and it held its shape even under pressure. I am curious about what they added to the egg to get that effect.

We were both unable to finish the meal. So we took the boxes home and reheated them the next day. Eating it as a leftover, it seemed much nicer than the day before.

The price for the meal was pretty low given the amount of food you got.

The owners purchased this operation recently. So the quality of the food is quite different from the previous owners.

The name of the restaurant suggests Hong Kong style food, but the menu read like standard Chinese restaurant offerings.

The food was served in take out boxes. It was kind of convenient because we couldn't eat the entire meal.

The ambience is beat up. Honestly, I take this as a good sign. The owners have invested in food, not decor.

After my favorite Chinese takeout Hong's was closed when the owner moved back to China I found this treasure! Take out only but it's the food that keeps me coming back for more. You've tried the rest so now it's time to try the best.😋 House special rice w/pork, chicken, shrimp & eggs is yummy along with all your favorites. I haven't tried everything so I'll drive another 20 miles each month until I do!

Ordered the house special chow mein that is supposed the come with pork, chicken and beef. Opened up my food when I go home and I kid you not there was only one singular piece of each meat in the entire noodle dish. Spent $13 for a box of noodles and practically no meat. Total scam.

Local mom and pop Chinese takeout with good wok hei on their chowfun and reference taste in their chop suey. Good prices and portions. One of the better Chinese American take out in the area.

Ordered taste out and only took 20 minutes to prepare. When arrived they made some items fresh before handing to me. Food tasted great!

Please don't EVER close! Best food in the world. Everything is awesome! Went there as a kid and haven't been back in 10 years. I have promised my kids when we do go back this will be the first place we stop ❤
