Good beer and pizza
Very nice, polite, n professional folks running the place (i.e. not immature kids).
Restaurant very nice, clean, and appealing.
Amato's has small stool section, bit like a bar, which was empty while I was there but also very comfortable looking as well as somewhat limited outdoor seating.
Pizza - I got it 2 go - was great.
I'd definitely go back again and strongly recommend Amato's.

Based on the reviews, Amato Pizzeria offers the best pizza in San Jose with high quality toppings and fresh veggies. The dough is the best, and the combination of crust, sauce, and cheese makes an excellent base. They have gluten free crust, a Deep dish style, and Mediterranean style pizzas. Favorites include the Amato, Amato Supreme, Hawaiian style, meat lovers, Tehroni, and Garlic Chicken pizzas. The caprase salad and potato skins are also awesome. For dessert, try the Nutella bites. The sauce is a little sweeter than some others. The service is top-notch, friendly, and courteous, with a nice owner who supports local community programs. The place is very clean with lots of TV’s, plenty of room for parties, and tables outside where customers can bring a dog. Many local children's sports teams come here after games. It is a neighborhood-focused, locally owned small business that employs local teens.
