Kuma Sushi is mine and my husband's favorite sushi restaurant in San Jose. It is not only the delicious food that is prepared but the welcoming and gracious hospitality and always helpful service that we appreciate. The decor of the restaurant is also pleasing making for a pleasant dining experience whether day or night. I highly recommend. All in all, the quality of the food is excellent and the pricing appropriate.

Kuma Sushi is located in Westgate mall with an entrance from the parking lot. We've been here a handful of times and I find it's always fast and friendly service, and I love the vegetarian roll options. I'm not a vegetarian, but i don't always need meat/fish. I've tried their cucumber roll, eggplant dragon roll & the veggie tempura roll. This last time I went was the cucumber and veggie tempura rolls, my daughter got a California roll. We will keep going back, price is reasonable too.

Really friendly staff with fresh, good fish and rolls. We had the miso soup, salad , nigiri and 2 rolls. The food came quickly and was really delicious. Will be back!

Recently on a Saturday, we ate lunch at Kuma Sushi and ordered bentos. We found the rice was too hard. The waiter did replace them with hotter rice but it was pretty much the same hard. The waiter told us it was their normal rice which was not true as we ate there so many times before and the rice was not that hard; otherwise, we wouldn't have gone to eat there again. Right after we left the restaurant, my son started to have stomach ache due to the hard rice which he ate more than us. I wrote this hoping that the restaurant will pay attention to this and improve.

I come here a lot since I work in the plaza . Service is quick for Togo . There are only a few people who work here maybe 1-3 people in the front , the Filipino lady is always super nice and friendly . I always get the orange blossom add cucumber Highly recommend coming here if you like a nice quiet place to eat or if you like eating alone .

The food was really good. A lot of the rolls had something spicy, but it didn't taste spicy (to me). Usually, I don't like cream cheese since it's usually overpowering, but the way they made it, it was the main flavor from the sushi. It was really tasty. The soft shell crab was nice and crispy. Apparently, they do change the kuma cocktail sometimes, but that was fine. The creamy kuma was delicious! The workers there we're very friendly, and their service was *2 thumbs up* loved it! They did come check on us frequently and made sure everything was good. Definitely would come back again and try the rest of their menu

While they had great Sashimi, Nigiri and rolls the Calamari was exceptional! Will revisit for the calamari ;)

I like this place. We took a lunch and sushi. It was a simple food, but so tasty. And here is cute atmosphere. Price are not expensive.

If you're feeling brave, try the "So Spicy". While I wouldn't recommend it to most people because of how spicy it is, I love it and order it every time. Just make sure to get an extra glass of water when you order it.

Service is extremely poor.I asked for more ginger with my rolls and had to wait 10 mins and ask two servers to get it when the place wasn’t even too busy. Extremely understaffed. The food is okay but the experience made it worse.

the main problem with the place is that its price point is not indicative of its quality. is the food edible? yes. is it noteworthy, or even average? not quite, probably just a smidge below. but the combination of that quality combined with the outrageously high prices that could be demanded by much fancier sushi places make this place worth skipping. the ambiance feels about the same as the sushi boat before it, and the service is good, but the main issue i raise above still stands.
