This has always been a place of mine, ever since my childhood days. Their food is always delicious, nothing really has changed - maybe owners? I'm not sure. I always get #46 or #48, both w/ clear noodles. That's the best IMO. I've tried their regular white noodles w/ it, just no reason and it tasted horrible. Would not recommend. Whether or not you decide to dine in or do take out, the food quality is still 100%. There's also a supply chain issue w/ crabs so unfortunately, they have replaced that w/ shrimps. Not a huge fan...but it'll do for now. Service is really not the best, but I don't think that's all of a surprise. Parking can be a hassle. They have a few spots available on the side of the restaurant, and I've seen a few cars literally parked right next to the window...parallel parking that is. Weird. Other than that, you can do side street parking nearby. Restaurant is outdated and not the cleanest but if you're looking for a good hu tieu place, I highly recommend it.

Such a hidden gem! Quality is consistent & delicious. Everything I've had is yummy, I'll definitely be returning.

My mom has a severe allergic reaction to shrimp, this evening I tried to order a #47 WITHOUT shrimp or broth and they brought out the noodles with shrimp. When asked to remake it the guy went behind to the food area and I saw him use his bare hands without washing them (after dealing with money, we had paid prior) and take out the shrimp. After telling him it had been contaminated and to remake it for us he proceeded to give it to us. We asked for it to be remade and it was not remade. VERY unsanitary, inconsiderate and unsafe.

We ordered the fried chicken with tomato rice and Cambodian rice noodle soup. Both were a disappointment. The chicken was dry and the rice soup was nothing like the nam vang soup I usually have at other places. Everything about the soup was bad.

I’m there for the food. The place is old and run down. Boarder line health inspection but that’s a cultural habit and behavior that you often see. Thats said, rest assured the pho is amazing.

We have been visiting this restaurant for many years now. Food quality, standards and hygiene have dropped drastically over the years.

Not the same owners so if you expect friendly service, dont! The place is cold as the staff, they forgot are egg rolls and are soup was cold, they didn't come by are table once and it was not busy, in fact it was empty. When I went to the counter to pay I asked if they were new owners since I didn't recognize anyone and he confirmed they are the new owner. Sad but true.

I’ve been coming to Dat Lat since I was a kid, we are loyal customer who always recommend and bring friends and family members to eat here. I am so disappointed at what has recently happened when my family visited. The guy at the front taking payment wouldn’t accept a bill my dad was trying to pay with because it was “too old”. He had just got the bill from the bank and showed him it was real. The man declined and wouldn’t accept. My parents were disappointed but went back again because we enjoy the food. Huge mistake. They came an hour till closing and the same man rushed them and asked them to pay already and if they were almost done. Why welcome customers in and serve if you’re gonna rush? Integrity and service has gone out the window at this place. It is also filthy and floors and walls look disgusting. You all are better off giving business to people who still care for their customers.

I've been coming here ever since I was a kid and this place still holds a good place in my heart and tummy! My go-to is the combination tapioca noodles but the dry version with the soup on the side. One ordering. Don't forget to ask for an extra serving of special sauce and crispy pork fat. It's decadent but obviously delicious.. Their Vietnamese iced coffee is also one of my favorites in town and I get it every time as well. Highly recommend this local joint and don't be deterred from it's surroundings! It's in the sorta the cuts, but well worth it. At least for me (:
