Lady M Cake Boutique - San Jose

Lady M’s crepe cakes, especially the Matcha and Pistachio flavors, are absolutely incredible. The texture is delicate, the flavor is rich, and every bite is pure indulgence. The Matcha cake, in particular, is unmatched—I’ve never had anything like it before. I’ve tried several matcha cakes from Anton Patisserie, but they don’t come close to what Lady M offers. No other place makes matcha cakes as good as this. Truly a top-tier dessert destination!

We have a family visited from out of town and we want to bring them to experience the Lady M cake at Westfield Mall, expecting a delightful experience with their renowned mille crepes. However, my visit was marred by an incredibly rude employee.

From the moment I approached the counter, the employee greeted me with an unwelcoming, almost hostile attitude. I asked a simple question about the layers in their signature cake, and rather than providing information, the employee responded with a sharp, dismissive tone, making it clear they were not interested in helping. When I asked for further clarification, they rolled their eyes and sighed loudly, as if my questions were a personal inconvenience, yet we decided to bought 2 slices of cakes to tried it anyway, upon we sit down and unpack, the staff lady walk over and rudely said “don’t you know how to read the signs?” No outside food, and we proceeded to said “oh sorry, we only want to eat the cake we just bought from you, and put one of other treat back in the box, yet the lady staff still gave us a dirty look and walk back over to scream at us again, what is wrong with your staff? Didn’t she know how politely let your customers who just spend almost $30 for your cake,.

This behavior was not only unprofessional, it left a sour taste experience and embarrassment to my guests but also completely ruined what should have been a pleasant shopping experience. It's surprising for a store like Lady M, known for luxury and customer service, to have staff who behave this way. The interaction left me feeling unwelcome and frustrated, this experience left me questioning whether I would return to your store or recommend it to other.

I urge Lady M to look into their staff training at this location because such behavior reflects poorly on the brand. There are plenty of other places in Westfield and San Jose area where customer service is prioritized over rudeness. I would think twice before visiting this outlet again unless there's a significant change in the staff's attitude.

P.S. we asked to speak to the manager on duty (male) he was pretty nice and polite and offer to refund but we refused, money is not a big factor but the way your staff treated customers was bad.

What a wondrous boutique Lady M is! Just moved back to California from New York City, thinking I’d never see Lady M again, but what a surprise finding our server Dan helping us find delicious Black Forest and Matcha crepes. Very friendly staff and impeccable decor.

Wonderful place with amazing customer service! Enida was incredibly helpful with choosing what kind of cake I wanted. They have a beautiful dining area as well. 10/10!!!

I got a dismissive employee as well, my friend and I were at the mall shopping, so we arrived at the cafe a bit later in the evening and the sitting area was closed. Rather than just letting us know, the employee was staring at us with rage(?), and ready to lecture us about something(?). I did not even ask to be in the sitting area, nor did I ask any other questions. I have no idea why the attitude was so hostile. Luckily, we found sitting area nearby, and the cake tasted great~
