Lady M Cake Boutique - San Jose

I visited this bakery recently and ordered a cake. The cake itself was okay—decent flavor and texture, nothing outstanding but not disappointing either. However, my experience was marred by the unprofessional and rude attitude of the only female clerk on duty. She seemed dismissive when I asked questions about ingredients, and even rolled her eyes during the transaction. It’s a shame because better customer service could make this place much more enjoyable.

We placed an online order and paid for the cake. The store ran out of the cake but would not cancel our order. They only offered to give us a different flavor which we didn’t want. We are left to deal with the ordering service ourselves to get the refund. Such a hassle for us as a result of their incompetency.

This was my first time at a lady M heard a lot of good things. Cakes are delicious as many mention. Tried a few different slices pistachio, coconut, passionfruit, and Ube, but really I was surprised by the customer service. The lady that helped us Thursday around noon (9/25)Was super friendly and helpful. She was patient as we tried to decide on the many choices. Didn’t catch her name, but her helpfulness and patience had us get more than we had anticipated lol. So I guess she did a good job.
She was also able to pack it with ice packs for us for a longer car drive !!!

Really disappointing experience. My wife’s birthday is coming up, and I specifically asked for a sign for birthday on the cake—something so simple—but they flat-out refused. On top of that, they didn’t even provide a cake knife, which is usually standard. For a special occasion, this lack of care and basic service is unacceptable. Horrible experience!!!

I visited 3x in the afternoons this month and their dining area was always closed. I want to try their drinks with their cakes but I don't want to dine in at the Mall's lobby seats with no table across their store. They should remove the tipping on their registers then because they only ring you up. Also boutiques provides total experience but they only provide to go.

This is my first time trying lady M's cake, I was very excited, I bought the Dubai chocolate cake, $15 per slice, I think the price is very expensive.

But the price is not the problem, the taste is too bad, it feels like it was made a few days ago, frozen for a long time, not fresh, the pistachio pieces are completely frozen! I will never try again.

I was excited to try Lady M at Valley Fair, but I have to say the experience was underwhelming. The price for a single slice of cake was $12, which felt steep—especially since none of the prices were listed anywhere. The cake was fine—light and mildly sweet—but nothing life-changing or particularly memorable. For that price, I expected something much more special. Beautiful presentation, but overall not worth the hype or the cost.

Cake is delicious as ever. But this places used to have sit down service and now you don’t even get tea in a tea pot. Even if you sit down you get cake in a cardboard box, unlike other Lady Ms, quite disappointing sit down experience.

Purchased a cake online and received an email saying I can pick up my cake any time before 9pm on pickup day.
Arrived at 7pm to find they were closed. I tried calling multiple locations multiple times but no luck.

Super bad experience especially considering that I drove quite some distance to pick up my cake

Not vegetarian labeled nowhere on anything in the store only written in the website not one cake is vegetarian
