The sandwiches were ok, but the meats are not freshly made on the same day due to the holiday. The bread was fresh and tender. There is no more buy 4 get 1 free promotion in this store.

Delicious coffee and sandwiches! I ordered a couple pork egg rolls as well and they were yummy! The bread for their Vietnamese sandwich is delicious, I ordered a chicken sandwich but even just with the mayo and veggies the sandwich will taste so good because of the bread! I took some home with me! This is my go to after I go to Tofu's Trading across the street.

This place has changed. At one time, it was a must to stop at Lee's to get a sandwich and iced coffee. I don't know what happened. The place wasn't as clean as I remembered; it smelled like fish and not like freshly baked bread. The combination sandwich was terrible. Customer service is also gone, and bring cash if you stop by or spend $20 or more to use a card.

I won't be returning. Now, I don't know if all Lee's sandwiches are like this, whether they are individually owned, but the one on Story Road is not good. It saddens me.

They must have sold. Less variety, quality is down. Probably won't go back.

Super amazing service and food.

I had a hankering for some Youtiao (Chinese fried dough) last Friday. Wife pointed me to Duc Huong, but they were closed for the New Year. So ended up at Lee's next door.

Sure, it looked like a youtiao and tasted...close. Fried and slightly greasy on the outside....I don't mind. Cold inside...that's a no no. The blend taste....what a let down. Never doing that again. I want my $3.50 back.

I thought the reply from the owner was gracious, and did go back to the store. I attribute my first experience as a fluke; as it was a middle of the afternoon, and the youtiao probably came out of the fridge to go directly into the fryer. On my second visit, I tried it again and it turned out fine this time. In fact, I compared it to one from another store and I found Lee's to be more substantial. It was a good snack, and it should even be better as a companion to good porridge.

What I really enjoyed though was their Vietnamese iced coffee. It was very very flavorful, thick and strong. I would say it was better than what I remember from restaurants. I would definitely go back for this again.

Best Bolillos in San Jose

The new ownership sucks they made my sandwich wrong and when I ask them to fix it they gave a new one but it mostly just bread they put less meat then they originally do. It sucks because to really use to like this place.

I was able to get a warm baguette and bolillo . Their spring rolls are good. Always a good breakfast spot in San Jose .

their baguettes so hard to chew. more like French baguettes. NOT Vietnamese baguettes. Duc Huong sandwiches (across from Lee sandwiches) plain baguettes the best. Lee sandwiches baguettes the worst (too hard too dense).
