Delicious. My favorite of the 6 Ethiopian restaurants i’ve tried (which i guess shouldn’t surprise me since it’s Michelin-reviewed? Does that mean it’s good?). We ordered two veggie combo platters and the eggplant appetizer and it was a good amount of food for two adults and two small children (6 and 2). Our favorite dishes are the okra, collards, cabbage, and lentils. I was less keen on the (cold) mashed garbanzo dish. They were out of tofu.
Enjoyed lunch as we ordered the veggie combo to share and added sambusa to start. We should have ordered the 4 stews instead of one stew and 3 sides. Although, everything selected was delicious. We also tried the hot tea. Paired well with our meal.
Had a great experience at this Ethiopian restaurant! The ambience was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a relaxed meal. They offer plenty of vegan options, which was a big plus. I especially enjoyed the Bolokey and Sambusa — both were flavorful and well-prepared. If you’re looking to explore Ethiopian cuisine with delicious plant-based choices, this place is definitely worth a visit.
This has been our go-to restaurant when we're craving Ethiopian food. We've heard that the flavor profile here is catered towards Westerners, but we recently tried Walia Ethiopian Cuisine on Stevens Creek Blvd because supposedly they're authentic but, to us, they are comparable to each other.
The difference is that Walia serves more food. However, for speedy service, LeYou is a lot faster. Not to mention the friendliness of the owner and staff, LeYou hands down is better. The ambiance in LeYou is also a lot more pleasant. However, for variety of dishes, Walia has more items on their menu. Anywho.
For lunch, we ordered the Meat and Vegetarian Combo. We quite enjoyed this and ended up eating everything. Our personal favorite from the combo was the okra.
Lastly, we especially like the hand washing station at LeYou since it's located inside the restaurant. Unlike at Walia, this is located outside the restaurant.
Our service she so perfect
I love their service, specially Ana was really nice to us.
Delicious Ethiopian vegan food
the food here was incredible. very unique menu and well presented. tried the stuffed jalapeno, crispy injera, and ordered 2 veg combos (8 items) with the memeta spice on the side. everything was delicious, only thing we did not like was the okra bc it wasnt tender but they replaced it. customer service was also incredible, so polite, patient, and explained everything well. will definitely be back!
Way too sour......
Delicious first meal at LeYou. First time trying Kategna - crisp, perfectly spiced, great start to the meal. Kifto bites with ahi were also excellent.
Tried the two meat and four veg combos, everything was really good as well. Favorites: asa (fish) and okra!
Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu.

Perfectly served Ethiopian. Alone injera could be a bit too sour to consume, but with the food the combined taste becomes savory. Recommended to the ones who are trying Ethiopian for the first time.
Mediocre, over rated and over priced
Service was great, and the place looked amazing, but I have to mention that this isn't an authentic Ethiopian restaurant. The flavors here are infused or adjusted to fit more of a Western taste, making it a bit of a fusion experience. The dishes don’t carry the bold, traditional flavors you’d expect from a true Ethiopian restaurant. If you're looking for something a lighter take on Ethiopian cuisine, this spot does a good job of adapting those flavors, but it’s not quite the real deal.
Very tasty food and the owners are very welcoming and kind. Personally I think the food is better than the other popular spot in town cus it has more flavor.
Had a small six person birthday dinner. The food was great and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Taking away two stars for making ordering food difficult. We were encouraged and then forced to get a family share meal even though we might have preferred to order dishes from the menu. Also apparently they have a $25 minimum charge per person for everyone at the table, which meant that my 86 year old mother had to be part of the $25/person family dinner as well which does not make any sense as she typically orders a soup for her meal. So in summary great food, but if you have a varied larger group, you might not get exactly what you want.
