Stopped by hole in wall next to drugstore in underpopulated strip mall. Lots of parking, plastic covered tables, pictures of food plastered on walls. Portions huge, food terrible. Worst chicken salad ever, had few expected ingredients - chicken, peanuts, sesame, lettuce - no cilantro, cabbage or carrots, dressing was chinese mustard. ? Kung pao chicken was extremely disappointing - food giant chunks thrown in a pan with sriracha. ? Combo chow mein was nothing but noodles. ? Shrimp with black bean sauce was full of shrimp and short on flavor. ? Egg rolls soggy with mushy sad filling. ? Very disappointed. I won't be back.

$55 for two people, while the chicken tastes like rubber and the chicken fried rice has “British” qualities.

This is a small place hidden in the corner of a quiet strip mall but the food they served completely surprised me. The menu comprises standard Chinese dishes (mostly Cantonese), nothing too fancy. We ordered salt and pepper ribs, beef chow fun, Chinese broccoli with beef, and beef brisket stew with daikons. All of them were scrumptious, way beyond our expectations. The amount of food was huge given their very reasonable prices. Even their homemade chili sauce on the tables were delicious. We then found out the chef before moving to the US was actually a chef at a famous Cantonese restaurant in China. We highly recommends this place.

A neighborhood mom and pop restaurant owned by a local immigrant family (we were told the chef used to cook in a famous Cantonese restaurant in China) that serves delicious traditional Chinese food with very reasonable prices. The portions were large. Every dish we ordered was great. They reminded me of the comfort food you would find in south China, nothing too fancy but really good. The space is pretty small (only 4-5 tables) but is great for takeout. The service was very friendly. We are definitely going back soon.

My family and I love Lin Garden. They have many great menu items, all of which are very good. The portions are generous and the food is consistently very good!

Hole in the wall mom and pop shop that makes the best Chinese food in the South Bay! I personally love their food and their location because if we don't support these we will be run by Panda Express!

Can always count on Lin Garden to be opened on the holidays. Ordered takeout for New Years dinner and service was quick and convenient. The restaurant's setup is more of a store front, so not many seating indoors. We usually get:- beef chow fun: 5/5 - ratio of beef and been sprouts to chow fun is perfect for my preference, chow fun noodles cooked well so it doesn't stick together- meat combo w/ tofu: 3/5 - nothing too special, a filler item to have variety- walnut shrimp: 4/5 - pretty consistent on the fried batter, plus it's nice that they pack the mayo on the side, however a couple times they forgot to throw in the walnuts- sweet & sour fried chicken: 4/5 - also another item that is good but not as consistent, sometimes the chicken can either be smaller pieces vs bigger pieces, I prefer the bigger pieces because meat is more tender/juicer Pretty safe choice for Chinese food in the Almaden area. However, it can be a bit inconvenient for those that don't live nearby.

The good:They were open on Christmas! My family had a hankering for Chinese but our local Chinese spot was closed. I was happy to find Lin Garden on DoorDash. I ordered moo shu chicken with pancakes because of my pregnancy craving and it didn't disappoint. I also got honey walnut prawns and loved that they put the mayonnaise sauce on the side as to not make the shrimp soggy in my food delivery. It was crispy and delicious. There were lots of menu options. The prices were fair. There were lots of vegetarian options. The bad:The mushu chicken was a wee bit too salty for me but I do tend to like food on the bland side. The interesting:Moo shu chicken is a northern Chinese dish. It's like a Chinese burrito.

The lady was super rude, the food was not good it was super bland. No flavor and no utensils when asked. Worst customer service

Food is tasty and meat is fresh. But quantity is very little. I ordered Mongolian beef and there were very few pieces of beef and rest was all onions.

I love this place! Discovered it about a month ago, and tried it several times since. They have a wide selection and all the dishes I tried were delicious. I recommend the eggplant with spicy sauce. Very reasonably priced and very nice people

We've been coming here for years and always a reliable Friday take out spot for the family. Our favorites are the salt and pepper fish made with sole, salt and pepper tofu with little bits of fried garlic and seranos, mongolian beef, and garlic green beans. The black pepper chicken is also a good option. Efficient and friendly young man takes the orders. Glad to have them in Almaden as a family run business we can count on.

The orange chicken is really good here. The lunch special is a great deal and the portions are big. I've never had to wait for my order to be made. I call in and drive 5 min and it's ready for me by the time I get there, great and fast service!
