Ordered the sausage combo with fries and slaw but was overcharged and then they didn't give me fries. Maybe they thought I was ordering it ala carte? Got it all sorted in the end but paid a bit extra I guess. Food was good.

Walked in 20 min after opening for lunch. 4 employees all made eye contact with me (standing in front of the register and menu) and after more than 5 minutes, I had to ask to order; definitely amateur hour. Maybe a new business with owners that don’t know how to run a business? BBQ itself was decent and chips were good.

Came here for dinner with an out-of-town friend. I drive by this area all the time and have been wanting to try it. I love bbq and am always on the lookout for good places. My go-to is brisket. That's how I base my standard. And I can say it is Excellent! Flavorful, tender, juicy. Also nice portions. House-made spicy sauce perfectly compliments. Along with the jalapeno and pickles, I absolutely cleaned up my plate. Service was also friendly and helpful. For sure we'll be returning!

I arrived at Mac Park BBQ at around 6:45 PM on a Friday. The store is located as part of an apartment complex, and there is free parking available in the parking garage. At this time, the store was pretty much empty. There were only three other customers sitting in the restaurant, so there were plenty of seats. I was with my boyfriend, and we customized our barbecue platter. At the counter, we ordered a 2x2, which allowed us to order two meats -- we ordered ribs and brisket -- and two sides -- we ordered macaroni and French fries. Our interaction ended with the employee telling us that napkins and additional sauces were available on a small table nearby. We found a seat in the clean restaurant and was later given plain potato chips, on the house, with ranch on the side. Momentarily, the employee returned with our meats and sides. Everything tasted great, and I was glad we had the option to get more sauce because we are both big sauce users! The ribs and briskets were both drizzled with barbecue already, but we got additional barbecue and spicy barbecue sauce from the small table by the cashier counter. The meats were good and came with onions, pickles, and jalapeños on the side. The brisket was soft, full of flavor, and easy to eat. The ribs were also good and full of flavor. The macaroni and cheese tasted as expected, and the fries were seasoned to give a one up on plain fries! I was very full and very satisfied by the end of my meal. The restaurant itself was clean and aesthetic, featuring imagery of the countryside. Customer service was great as well. It was my first time at Mac Park BBQ, and the cashier encouraged us to ask questions about the menu, which I appreciated. Overall, I had a fine dining experience here, and I can see myself returning!

Mac Park BBQ is a barbeque restaurant located on Tasman at the base of an apartment complex. I saw it pop up on Yelp several times and I was in the area so I gave it a shot. FOOD For my visit, I ordered the 2x2, which is two meats and two sides. I got Brisket, which was their recommendation, Pulled Pork, Mac and Cheese (I mean it's called Mac Park), and Tater Tots. In addition to this, they also gave us complimentary home-made potato chips. Overall, the food is very mediocre, borderline terrible. First off, the meat came drizzled with their BBQ sauce; I like saucing up BBQ myself. This wouldn't be a huge problem except that their BBQ sauce had this very strange aftertaste, maybe they had too much vinegar? Not sure, but this BBQ sauce definitely was not for me; it didn't have any smoky flavor to it. Next off, the mac and cheese also tasted a bit off too. It's hard to describe, but maybe it tasted like processed cheese. Was not a fan. I didn't have a big problem with the meat; brisket was maybe a bit dry, but the BBQ sauce drizzled on it did not help one bit. Tater tots were fine. They were crispy, but not as crispy as I preferred. Chips were delicious. SERVICE The saving grace of this restaurant is the service. You order at the counter and then they will bring the food out to you. BBQ sauce is on the counter which you can help yourself. The employees were helpful and answered questions whenever I had any. No issues with the service. COST Another strike against this place is the price. For the 2x2, it's about $35 after tax and tip, which is on the expensive side for what you are getting. One very weird thing I noticed is that their 1x1 is $18, their 2x2 is $30, and their 3x3 is $50. Why would you ever get a 3x3 when you get just get a 1x1 + 2x2 for $2 cheaper? If there's something extra that justifies the $2 upcharge on the 3x3, it's not stated. SETTING Nice and clean restaurant. There is a parking garage for customers so you should park there. This is a place that caters to the companies nearby so I imagine lunch will be busy. We went on a Friday though and there were no other customers until the end of our meal. Overall, if you want BBQ, go somewhere else. The food tastes off, at least to me, and it's pricey. The only reason to come here is if your company is paying, but there are better places nearby for that as well. 2.25/5

Came at around 6:30 pm~ to grab dinner. It is pretty obvious that the restaurant is made for the lunch rush crowd as the food was a bit dry. - Brisket (fatty parts great, needed BBQ sauce) - pork ribs (meat was good, too much sauce) - sausage (unremarkable) - mac n cheese (had better, much better) - coleslaw (no flavor) - french fries (arguably the best thing they had) Service was good. Got some bread and house chips and they were really good. TLDR: Maybe this place is built for lunch and lunch only as the food would be much fresher. Try around then, not evening.

This place has gone downhill fast. We used to go here frequently and enjoyed heaping portions of freshly prepared food. The last time we went was far less than that. They did not make the item from their website menu that I ordered, didn't take the order properly and the food tasted reheated.I was quoted a 20 minute wait time for 2 pulled pork sandwiches. I am not sure how that's actually possible when all of the meat is already done and just needs to be assembled. I expected a full restaurant but was the only person there at 6 p.m. when I picked up my food, which also isn't a great sign.If you are looking for good BBQ in the same area there is another place off Montague but only serves lunch.

Next time pls update your hours of operation here as well (not just putting paper on your door). Wasted 30 minutes of coming here because it says that you are open

Super friendly staff and enough options to keep your keto friends happy alongside your vegetarian friends. The low carb and keto dieters at the table raved about the brisket and wings (without sauce). I got the ribs. They came sauced and were fall off the bone delicious. I tried a bit of vegetarian smoked jackfruit BBQ for the first time and it was pretty good! That, brussels with honey and a hearty Mac Park salad were polished off quickly by our vegetarian friend. Win-win for all without anyone feeling left out.

Came here on during lunch hour with a few co workers. It is a restaurant underneath some apartment building off of first and zanker. The food here is pretty good. I got the bbq chicken and catfish. The bbq chicken was good and catfish wasn't bad but I'll probably skip on that next time personally. The hush puppies were not bad either. I really want to come back and try more of their bbq entrees.

I have been wanting to try this place for months, google maps said noon was as busy as it gets, normally that's enough for me to find a less busy day to try it but today I rolled the dice. I got here and it wasn't too busy, I let the staff know it was my first time here, I didn't feel rushed to order. I got the salad with brisket, jalapeno poppers and hush puppies. Everything was so great I plan on coming back and trying everything from the menu. Food came out quick and the staff was attentive.Vegetarian options: They offer pulled jack fruit.

The worst BBQ I had in years. If dry, small portioned meats to a high price is your thing...... this is your place. Definitely a shake and bake barbecue place run by someone who was not raised with it. Wife didn't feel good 1 hour later. The only thing positive is.... The got Shiner Bock from Texas here. BBQ reference: Lived in Georgia and Texas long enough.

Really wanted to try a new BBQ place so I gave this place a try. Wanted to call and pick up the food, but no one answered( I called 5 times) when I got there.. there was no customers at all! so I have no idea why no one picked up the phone. Anyways, I decided to try the pork ribs. The pork ribs were not tender at all. I'm use to fall off the bone type of ribs so I was disappointed . There was also no smoke to the meat. Tasted like something I could get at the supermarket. The bbq sauce was super runny as well and overly sweet. It tasted more like ketchup than bbq to me. Don't think I'll come back because of those reasons.
