Mextizo Restaurant & Cantina

It appears that this restaurant is closed. I made the reservation on 9/6 for my boss to have a business meal and when they arrived, the place was all locked up so they had to go elsewhere.

Food quality has gone down over the past few months. Entres come out like warm, fajitas were a soggy mess. Even the guac wasn't done right. The only saving grace was chips and salsa and the margaritas.

My husband and I ordered Mac n cheese and vegetarian fajitas.The texture of the cheese was amazing and the fajitas also tasted very nice. The food was worth the price. The hospitality was also outstanding.Would surely visit again.

We sat for 20 minutes before we were greeted. When the appetizer arrived it was an empanada that was raw inside. We received our entrees and the rice was crunchy as if they scraped it off the bottom of the pan and our food had no salt or flavor. The tortillas seemd like they had been reheated several times and were hard and dry not freshly warmed. Will not be going here again.

On our way to our usual taco spot for "Taco Tuesday" and saw this spot, so decided to give it a try. After given a table, we were served tortilla chips with 2 salsas. The salsas provided were really good and had a bit of a kick to it too. Ordered the Vegetarian Chile Relleno Poblano and the Tacos Del Mar taco platter. The chile relleno was great with all the flavors blending well together. The Tacos Del Mar was a bit underwhelming. It came with 3 tacos (shrimp, fish and octopus) but oddly tasted the same. Will definitely have to give this spot another try. Also, it would be nice to have an a la carte option for tacos for customers that don't have a big appetite.

Mothers Day celebration! ? Customer service was really friendly efficient and quick! Although food in our opinion was not “ the best “ in regards of spices and final taste, will definitely come back for the ambiance of the place & drinks! Customer service was a PLUS! Oh and their chips& salsa are TASTY! Fresh & Flavorful! Thank you!

We went for Mother's Day . We have a 12:15 reservation . They sat us right away and took our order. At 1:15 we still had not received our food . The waiter told us that they just finished the 12:00 orders and ours would be next ??? So we left . Never again will I go to this place . No apology was given as we left. This place is very poorly run !

We booked this as an experience for Easter Sunday. There was supposed to be a special Easter brunch buffet, which is why we booked. It was listed on Open Table as an experience. When we arrived, there was nothing special for Easter, no buffet. We would have appreciated a call ahead of time to let us know. We like the restaurant and have been there before, but we were looking for a special Easter activity for the family and this was a huge disappointment.

Cocktails and food were great. Sat outside and was able to enjoy the live music without it being too loud. Great service from our main waitress and helpers. Food was a little slow coming out but was all hot and delicious so not too much of a bother, plus we weren't in a big hurry. Definitely a place we'll eat again.

I had a company dinner party and we got our own private room that was able to seat 10 people. The service was great,we had a very attentive server, he was quick and friendly. The food had a great presentation but was missing some flavor, we all had to add salt and pepper to our meals...salmon, fajitas and chicken mole plates all needed a little extra flavor but I feel like the environment and service made up for that. They have very nice margaritas, cocktails and desert. Thank you Mextizo for servicing our company party.

We loved everything we tried, great drinks and food. And live music on Saturday evening was a nice bonus!

Enjoyed coming here on a Saturday morning we got there at around 11:30 AM and there really wasn’t much of a line so we were seated really really quickly. They also gave us complementary chips and salsa which made it very very enjoyable to wait as the main dishes came out. My favorite dish was the vegetarian enchiladas they have sweet potato inside and the cheese and the beans also added a lot to the dish it was definitely very unique compared to others I have had and tasted very freshly made as well. I really liked that the servers kept checking in on us a lot and it felt like a very very nice brunch spot very clean very good outdoor patio seating and very reasonable prices as well. The only downside was that the wait was fairly long to get our main dishes out it was probably around 15 to 20 minutes or so which felt like a lot because the place wasn’t really busy when we had arrived but it was OK because the chips and salsa was still really really good and it made for a really enjoyable time even as we were waiting. Overall I would come back because it was a very good ambience it was a very good meal and I enjoyed trying out Mexican food for brunch.

Wonderful upscale Mexican food restaurant located in a quiet area. Special shout-out for their AMAZING mole enchiladas and hand crafted cocktails. The drinks taste authentic and not artificial. They give free salsa and fresh chips. The staff is super friendly and quick service. They are very busy due to staffing shortages I assume, but they were very attentive. Come here if you enjoy fancy cantina style experiences and don’t mind the slightly higher price you pay for tastier food.

We had a good time here. Came on Sunday evening particularly to experience the salsa band who were excellent and set up in the bar area.The restaurant is more upscale with prices reflecting this.Service was excellent with our waiter being very attentive. Thank you Angel!Menu was set out clearly.We were given chips and salsa to start, they were very good. Chips were fresh.Rest of the food we ordered was also very good with good flavors, we had steak salad and enchiladas. Churros for dessert.The whole ambience was excellent and we even had a little dance!I would come here again.
