It doesn't look like much from the outside but once you go in you'll realize that the bartender who is normally there is one of the friendliest bartenders and people that you'll meet. He goes above and beyond to help out with whatever you ask of him. The combination of that and some extremely friendly customers make for one of the best vibes of any bar I've been to. As someone with anxiety this is one of the few bars that I immediately felt comfortable and welcome at.

I had an interesting experience at Mike’s Place that I’d like to share. I showed up for a 49’s game and I was having a good time when I collapsed flat out on the floor while carrying three drinks, spilling and breaking everything. The people around me thought that I was hopelessly drunk but actually I had a medical issue. My doctor thinks that my heart stopped beating momentarily.
