Food was excellent! From side dishes to sauces, everything tasted fresh and thought out. My only wish is that this place was bigger. We ate family style where we shared all ordered items and there was very little space on the table to accomodate 4 entrés.

Least authentic Korean food I've tasted. Everything was too sweet including the kimchi. Japchae was bloated and didn't even smell/taste like japchae. But great service and seems to be very popular among non-Koreans.

Ordered the tofu dolsot bibimbap - the rice was perfectly crispy, and toppings were flavorful and delicious. The restaurant is small with a comfortable, casual vibe. We came on a Friday night around 6pm and were seated immediately, by the time we left an ~hour later all the tables were full. Service was friendly and attentive - would come back here in a heartbeat!Vegetarian options: Lots of options to get various dishes with tofu or veggies

Recommended dishes: Mixed Stone Pot Rice, Bibimbap

WOW! First the food is AMAZING, such great flavors and the portion sizes are so worth it. The wait staff were sooooo friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was chill. For two people we ordered 1 order of Pot Stickers, and the Flaming Fondue Chicken, it came with rice and veggies. We had food left over.Thank you to the waiter he was so so nice. We will be back to JapanTown in San Jose again and definitely eating at Omogaris again!!!!!

Told us it would be a forty minute wait. We checked in after forty minutes and they said it would be at least an hour. Another party had the same experience.

A must try in San Jose!Nestled in Japantown, this Korean spot is always poppin' when it's open. If you're here, order any of the flaming sizzling meat dishes, pancakes, and their hot stone bibimbap is to die for.The leftovers always hit, so don't be afraid to order more and always get some soju on the side for a good time!

In August 2016, I had the pleasure of dining at SJ Omogari Korean Restaurant, and it was truly a delightful experience. The restaurant impressed me with its authentic Korean cuisine and warm hospitality. From the moment I entered, the welcoming atmosphere set the tone for an enjoyable meal. The staff at SJ Omogari were not only attentive but also knowledgeable about the menu, offering helpful suggestions based on preferences.

Meat pancake... it's crazy... Be sure to eat meat pancake! It's a must!!!!!!!!!!! Yukjeon, Yukjeon, and Yukjeon are the best. You can't eat it even in Korea. ㅠㅠ Stone pot bibimbap is the best. Kimchi hotpot is also delicious. Haha, stir-fried squid is also?

Hands-down this is the best Korean restaurant. I’ve tried so far in the United States. In the many cities I’ve visited. Korean food is my second favor of Peruvian. I was walking down the street and stumbled upon this hidden gem. I immediately noticed the sign at the door that said it was the top restaurant in the bay so I said, I definitely gotta come in the restaurant was full by the way it was not long for a table. I’ve tried the spicy wings as I love spicy food and definitely wings they were crispy and the spice touch was perfect. I also tried the flaming fondue as it seems that everybody in the restaurant was ordering that as well. It did not disappointed. It was very very good. I tried to Korean beer that they don’t have at my local city and other dishes that I cannot recall the name to. If you love Korean food and you’re in the San Jose area you better come check this place out. I know next time I’m in town. I will be stopping here for sure.

We drove all the way here to try their cheese stone pot and it didn't disappoint. We looked for this for a while and only found this place offering it. We also had their Gal bi which is good portioned and quite tasty, but perhaps the highlight is their soy garlic fried chicken which was done really well, with the chicken meat tender and juicy. The food is a bit on the salty side.

Omogari is one of our favorite restaurants in town, and a place we frequent to often and recommend highly to everyone who loves or wants to try Korean cuisine. I highly recommend the Bibimbap here. It gets busy, so try to get in line earlier through Yelp and get there on time. It's a cozy place, so it can get a bit loud inside but I like the atmosphere. They recently added outdoor seating as well. The service is fast and friendly. Parking can be a bit harder right next to the restaurant, but you can usually find street parking within a 5 minute walk.
