This review is for the Peet's location at the San Jose airport in terminal B. Horribly understaffed at 5:35 am.. long line and waited 45 minutes to get a coffee and a muffin.

Quick coffee stop before we would proceed to board our bird. The coffee was a bit too strong for my taste thought he service was quick and efficient. The gentleman at the counter ( behind the cash register) who was serving us was very helpful and absolutely quick. However the lady on who was in charge of making lattes etc was probably overworked or so and definitely sounded, acted rude( Not complaining, just stating!!!) Worth a try as they happen to be located conveniently outside the security check area and it's never too bad a time for a cup of coffee!!

The line for ordering was long and very slow. I didn't notice there were Kiosks available until almost at the end. They were placed at the end of the line from one POV (blocked by all the customers in front) and behind the pillar from the other POV. The selection on the Kiosk was extremely limited, and I had to go back to the long line. When I finally got to order, they only had almond milk available as the alternative (on a Monday morning). This is by far the worst experience I've had with any cafe.

RACIST EMPLOYEES An incident that happened at San Jose Airport (Peet's coffee near Gate 25) on 1/13/2024, around 2:10pm. My wife and I (Asian Americans) were placing an order with an employee as we have experienced racism, terrible service, and psychological and emotional damage that left us scarred because of our race. She was rude to begin with and asked me to repeat my order three times with a nasty attitude and told me "I can't understand your accent" while making a "what do you want" gesture. I was so shocked by what she said and she didn't even seem apologetic for the words she spat out. I confronted her for her bad attitude and her rudeness but she didn't seem to care and left the counter while I was paying for my order. As I walked away to wait for my order, I felt attacked because of my race, I saw another Peet's employee staring and laughing at me. I was pretty upset at this time because of my encounter with previous employee so I asked him why he was staring and laughing at me. He then told me that he can stare and laugh at whoever he wants to and I shouldn't be in a public place if I don't like that. I also confronted him for his attitude and behavior because he was also very rude. I asked him where my order was but he didn't want to check and told me that I need to tell him what I ordered instead of him checking his order screen or sticker to see what I ordered. He demanded that I tell him what I ordered. I just told him because I was annoyed by his attitude. He didn't even know how to make the drinks and did whatever he wanted and gave us a wrong drink and didn't take any responsibility for it other than keep saying that he's new. I asked for the store manager who was not around, he was at a different store, but he refused to get the manager so I had to go find the manager myself. Everything that happened today was UNACCEPTABLE. It is destroying the name value of Peet's and I can't help but think that Peet's hires those that are so IGNORANT and RACIST.

Coffee was fine. Customer service was subpar. It's 4:50 January 10th, whoever the ladies are on shift here are just not friendly with the customers. Cashier looked at me like I was bothering her by being there and she was gossiping with the other employee about the store and how she hates working there. Also, if you guys are out of something you should put a sign up!

They close early so that they can leave but it's only 8:15pm and the girl refused to wait on us. She said she closed at 8:30pm but how are you going to refuse service 15 minutes early?

I used the kiosk to order my coffee and unfortunately it was not the best system. It doesn't have whipped cream option to add on. When my coffee came and the guy names Mile refused and told me to go back on line to pay for it. I said I didn't mind to pay him here but he said no, it was the rule, go back in line like anyone else. There was 10 people in line. Really Peet's coffee? This is how you train your employees? It is not like I ask for a free coffee, it's just a dash of whipped cream on my coffee.

The fact that it is one of the busiest travel days of the year. You didn't staff properly. The line is so long. Shows how you value your customers. Great coffee. Should take care of the people who support you.
The price on their coffee is ridiculous for not so good brew! I regret not going to Starbucks where I could have saved two dollars on decafe! I feel robbed!

TERRIBLE experience! $31 for two iced coffee's and two muffins? WOW.So they have a huge advertisement poster on their board for Oat Milk Pumpkin Latte. I thought I'd give it a try. NOPE.. they didn't even have oat milk. How in the world do you advertise for something you don't have? Especially as a seasonal item!The muffins were super dry.

Terrible customer service. Stood waiting for 2-3 minutes while the barista (who hadn't acknowledged our presence) did dishes, so I politely asked if they were still open and she responded "Yes I'm by myself, be patient!" Hopefully Peet's will invest in some customer care courses to teach their staff how to interact with people. In the meantime just go to Starbucks, I did.

Painfully slow service. Exceptionally slow service and poor attitude among the employees. Bitter overroasted coffee was definitely not worth the wait.
