Service was really fast, and the flavor of the broth was absolutely great. The lady gave an option of small or thick type of noodles, and the cash register guy was nice too.

I bought takeout, and the beef soup I got was too cold to eat. I was so disappointed that I felt cheated.

Chicken broth noodles and porridge stall that has been serving flavorful steam Hainan style chicken based dishes. They have been around since the food court opened. Still here and still great value!

I was surprised how tasty the chicken pho was: rich, satisfying broth with fresh, tasty chicken bits accompanied by all the usual fixings. I even enjoyed the (optional) liver and chicken skin - latter had a pleasantly chewy texture. Perfect comfort food for a cold, rainy day.

A subtle bun rieu from Northern part of Viet Nam. Nice broth with crab/egg ball, rau muong (similar to spinach) and tofu. Tasty and full of texture. Comes with tea and spices to bring out the flavors.

I've been eating here since I was a kid. This is probably the best Pho ga places in SJ. The food tastes great. Family owned business. It is in a food court in Lion Plaza. Very friendly to kids and those guests that want to eat different foods in the food court. They specialize in chicken dishes so please check it out! The Canh Bun is also delicious and it's like your grandma cooked it for you. I haven't found another place that has delicious vietnamese dishes like this one in the Bay. Must check out.

Delicious chicken pho with multiple chicken parts, and flavorful crab soup. The owner recommended both as his specialties.Credit accepted, free parking lot

March 2021 - BEST IN THE BAY VIETNAMESE CHICKEN SOUP ‘PHỞ GÀ’In the early 80’s when our family went out for Phở Gà, we always come to this place where we can find the best Phở Gà in the Bay Area. More than 35 years later, I still vote it as Best in the Bay. Why?Because the soup is light and tasty, the chilken chewy and not soft like Costco chichen, even the yellow chicken skin tastes good and not fatty. You can choose to have either the ‘fresh’ rice noodle or the ‘regular’ kind from dry noodle. Fresh green onion, cilantro, sliced onion, basil, bean sprouts and a piece of lemon bring all the different tastes into a harmony in your mouth. Don’t forget to add some ground black pepper to the bowl and fresh chili pepper if you like the hot taste. The food court where Phở Gà Hưng is situated is airly, clean, and filled with natural light. The service is friendly and prompt. And we always show our appreciation to the kind busboy (or rather ‘bus uncle’) who efficiently clear and clean the table for us with a good tip. Finally we can sit inside now to enjoy our meal. Additional seatings outside are also available. As always I don’t mind driving an hour to go to San Jose for this soup dish. Feel quite grateful for the good people who are still there.

I like their pho ga but what I really like is their bun canh. Huge bowl, always delicious. Try it if you want to try other types of Vietnamese dishes. Also, the reviewer who gave a 1 star about a togo broth; clearly user error. If you order to go soups, it's expected that you're suppose to reheat it when you get home. If they served it to you in a container boiling, and you spilled it on yourself, then it's asking for a liability.
