This was our first time dining here and we had an amazing experience! If you're not sure what restaurant to dine at in Vietnam Town, you definitely want to check this spot out! The net egg rolls (must try!!) have such a slight and delicate crisp, making every bite so satisfying! Their pho dac biet was so aromatic and packed with meat! The fried chicken rice plate was so tender and paired so well with the fish sauce for a burst of umami flavor! Their taro salad was something I've never tried before, and was so tasty! The fried taro balances well with the tanginess of the salad and so addicting to eat! And lastly the shaking beef was so juicy and flavorful and loved the sauce! The portions are so generous! The restaurant itself is very cute and clean! We loved the lantern decor! We received great service and were informed about the popular menu items. Overall it's a fantastic spot to dine with family and friends! There are so many restaurants in Vietnam Town, and it can be so hard to pick where to eat, but you definitely want to check this spot out! We will definitely be back! Since it's located in a busy plaza, parking can get crazy especially during the lunch hour. But since people are coming and going for lunch, it's fairly easy to find a parking spot. There's also a parking garage in the very back of the plaza, very close to Pho This Way!

We had dinner at Pho This Way last night. Pho This Way is located in Vietnam town, and it was actually a good addition to have another Vietnamese restaurant in Vietnam town. What we had and would recommend: 1. Fried Chicken cartilage with fish sauce. This dish is so addictive! If you love snacking on fried foods, you would love this. First they deep fry the chicken cartilage with batter, the pan fry them with fish sauce with some garlic. Perfect to have with white rice. 2. Beef Ribs Pho. The weather in Bay Area during March is still cold with transition to spring-ish climate, so having pho during this 60ish weather is still perfect and warmth your body. I love the broth, it was so aromatic and the beef ribs also tender too. 3 Shaking beef with macaroni. You can have the options to have the shaking beef with fries, white rice, tomato rice or macaroni. We chose to have it with macaroni. Shaking beef portion was huge, the beef was flavorful too. Macaroni was a lot. Next visit we will have it with tomato rice. 4. Deep Fried Chicken with garlic noodle. Served with fish sauce. Love this dish! chicken was so crispy and tasty, perfect combination with the garlic noodle. You can substitute the garlic noodle with white rice too if you prefer. This dish came with 4 pieces of chicken, so you can share this dish with family of four. It was nice to have an addition of Vietnamese restaurant in Vietnam town. We definitely be coming back.

WHY WE WENT HERE: - family dinner THE LOOK (FROM THE OUTSIDE): - located of the corner of Vietnam Town Rd, next door to Little Lamb Hot Pot & BBQ - love the lanterns and overhead lighting above the outdoor seating THE LOOK (FROM THE INSIDE): - inside is very modern and clean and brightly lit; elevated casual THE MENU: - salad - finger foods - pho bo - beef noodle soup - cac mon gai them (side orders) - thuc uong - beverages - wines & sake - crafted desserts WHAT I ORDERED: - Canh Ga Rang Mui (Salt-Roasted Chicken Wings) - Pho Suon Bo (Short Ribs) THE TASTE: - Canh Ga Rang Mui (Salt-Roasted Chicken Wings) - loved it! - Pho Suon Bo (Short Ribs) - thought it looked better than it tasted; the short rib was partially tender, but the part still attached to the bone was very chewy and hard to remove from the bone that my aunts (sitting across from me) felt the splashing of the soup on their faces as I attempted to remove the meat from the bone; also very fish sauce forward, which I wasn't necessarily a fan of CUSTOMER SERVICE: - attentive but not overbearing

If you’re looking for a new spot to grab Pho in San Jose, look no further cause you’ll find Pho This Way. This new pho restaurant opened late last year and is located in Vietnam Town (IYKYK).Pho This Way offers a clean modern dining room with a menu that contains not only pho, but also finger foods, other Vietnamese noodles, and favorites like Shaken Beef (Bo Luc Lac).We visited on a Sunday before the lunch crowd and had ourselves a delicious feast. The broth was really good and the portion sizes were generous. The staff was very helpful in going over the menu with us. One item that we were absolutely glad we tried and would recommend to everyone is the Net Egg Roll, which was a perfectly crispy egg roll that you can wrap inside some lettuce and mint leaves before enjoying with the fish sauce.San Jose no doubt has a lot of pho restaurants, but this new spot definitely deserves a visit.- — ???? ?? ??????? — -∿Vietnamese Shaking Beef Macaroni∿Pho Dac Biet (Special Combination Pho)∿Net Egg Roll∿Papaya Salad∿Stir Fried Egg Noodle with Seafood∿Strawberry Panna Cotta & Mango Panna Cotta

An absolute gem of a find! This Vietnamese pho restaurant was phenomenal. We ordered bun bo hue, pho short rib, and the kids pho. The bun bo hue was packed with authentic flavors, offering a delightful spicy kick that left me craving more. The kids' meatball pho was a hit with my kids, perfectly portioned and wonderfully seasoned. And the pho short rib - tender, succulent, and bursting with rich broth goodness.

Fun find! There are many restaurants in this plaza - to include other Pho places. I can only speak to this one - definitely a nice ambience. Very friendly staff. Plastic chopsticks and soup spoons available at the table. The flavor of the beef pho is so good. You do have the choice for flat noodles if you wish. Mango smoothie was yummy - nice chunks of mango included. Final thing - why I rated four stars - parking is crazy. Also, be prepared to pay via Venmo.

Great service. Warm ambiance. Food is delicious. I have been back to Pho This Way 5 times now and each time I try one of their famous dishes. Other than the amazing food choices, the staff is extra friendly and the owner even came to greet us at our table. Excellent way to reach out to the community for feedback. Overall, very happy with my experience at Pho This Way and i would recommend everyone to eat here.

Our son discovered this place, and with the gloomy weather perfect for pho, I was craving it. I originally wanted to try pho San Jose, where he often eats and raves about it, but he suggested trying this new pho place. He ordered the bbh, I opted for the Luc lac, and my wife chose the traditional pho. We began with the net eggroll appetizer. The pho and bbh were decent, but the Bo Luc lac was exceptionally flavorful, and the eggrolls were amazing. We speculated that perhaps since we were the first customers there right when they opened, maybe the broth hadn't simmered long enough for the flavors to fully develop. We plan to return for lunch or dinner to see if the broth's flavor improves with a longer simmering time. The owner even came out to introduce himself to us, possibly recognizing our son from a mutual friend. Service was great!

This restaurant opened a few months ago and is located in Vietnam Town! The staff is super nice and I had a nice meal with my boyfriend. Must Orders: *Pho Dac Biet Right when this came, the fragrance of the soup hit me. It was so aromatic and comforting. The meats in it were pretty tender as well and you know I love a good beef rib (: *Fried Chicken Cartilage w/ Fish Sauce This is a must order for me. I LOVE chicken knee cartilage and always get them at yakitori spots. These had a nice crunch and the flavor was so punchy - I think they will go well with a nice cold beer! *Thai Iced Tea I really enjoyed this because it's not too sweet, and actually had a strong tea flavor. If you like spice, please try their house made chili sauce! It's so yummy and garlicky, and they put a lot of lemongrass it in so it's really fragrant as well! Their IG is @phothisway in case you want to check them out

I favor more spicy dishes, so it was a bit sweet for me. However, the food is still good. Solo broth was nice and clean. Noodles were chewy and absorbed the sauce well. Veggies & meat were plentiful and fresh. I'll probably come back to actually try their pho or bun bon hue.

Great flavor in the soup for the pho but a little lacking in the amount of noodles in the bowl. Nice staff good service.

Located in Vietnam Town, this pho place is super convenient. It's pretty much right next to the hair salon I always go to. I tried the net egg roll and special combination pho! The net egg roll was so good! The perfect appetizer! I could've probably finished it all by myself. The special combination pho was great as well. My boyfriend and I really liked their broth! They also have fresh noodles which are my favorite. Make sure to tell them you specifically want fresh noodles!
