Delicious! First time there and had a meal on the outside towards the back of restaurant. Had a few different appetizers but I'd say go with the calamari as it's lightly breaded yet had the crunch and the squid soft and easy to eat. Great wine selection. For my main meal was the Filet Mignon dinner special. It was supposed to come with veggies and the meat in truffle sauce. Everything in my order was correct except the sauce on the filet mignon didn't taste nor look like truffle sauce but it looked and tasted more like a balsamic vinegar glaze. It was unique, as it had a vinegar flavor profile which was ok, though I really wanted more of a meaty taste. Dessert was great, had a pistachio cake that was mild in sweetness and more of the nutty flavor. Overall, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for me even with the little hiccup.
Parking: When you get to "Little Italy" one side has free parking but that gets full quickly, and the other side has parking meters that was active until 10PM (Yup, the meters are from 9am to 10pm in Little Italy, the rest of San Jose the meters stop operations at 6pm) which of course the parking space on the meters are available during the late afternoons but these spaces are full by 7/8pm.

What a pleasant dining experience. Was greeted at the door by the owner, staff were very attentive and the foods amazing!
My “have to” stop when I fly out of San Jose. Their food is fantastic and the service is impeccable. Tonight it was Swordfish carpaccio for starting the journey followed by lamb shank ossobuco. Fantastic flavor, love that they put a lot of carrots with it. A glass of Negro Amaro Cantele Salento off of their extensive wine list goes perfectly.
I thought the person who gave them a 2 rating and said the food was bland was kind of harsh. However, I agree a little in that it wasn’t special. Spinach salad, nothing interesting or different. However bravo on the artichokes that were grilled in the burrito, they were delicious. If you want bread, you must ask.
Very delicious, come with my friend next time.
I’ve been twice over the last 8 years and both experiences were pretty similar. I went in hoping for something enjoyable and both experiences were not good. The dishes suffered severely from a lack of flavor. Just a disappointment across the board.
We visited the Italian festival and had an awesome time food yummy limited beer wine tasting fabulous GO EARLY it gets packed
Great spot
It's a quaint, quiet place to chill. There's a couple of restaurants open on a Sunday evening. A few more open other days and times.
Very nice. Tucked away in Lil Italy

Service was outstanding n the food was good
This restaurant sits on a corner that has gone through several owners, but the owners of Paesano seem to be here for the long haul. We went by on a Friday night, and knowing it's a small place, made sure to make reservations. It was also a night when the San Jose Sharks were playing, and it is walking distance to the San Jose Arena. It's called "Little Italy". The service was quick and friendly. The food was delicious--not only for us, but for others sitting nearby. You could hear the "ahhs" all around us! Good pasta and seafood dishes. I have also heard good things about their meat dishes, and look forward to trying one the next time we go.
