This place tastes like Popeyes and what you see is really what you get which is sometimes hard to come by in franchised fast food joints. I usually get the 5 tenders combo from them and I love the english muffins that come with them. The 6 piece wings dishes aren't bad either and they have a good assortment of sauces and flavors. I have visited multiple times but I also get orders from them through doordash and it's consistent across. I never ate on site but the personnel was always nice.

Edit: gave it another try and this time even worse. The parking lot in the back is limited, but filled with homeless and drug users. No lights around the shop and seemed highly unsafe to be around. Same experience at the cashier made me return without ordering2 stars to credit the standard food and decent service from staff, however the cashier was super slow despite growing line. The biggest let off was that the store itself was very dirty and I did not feel comfortable sitting down. I had to use the restroom and it is probably the dirtiest one I have used. Zero maintenance done.

Food was ok but the manager was very rude I showed her my mobile order and she blew me off saying WATEVER she goin off wat was printed out but I’m like I paid for this tho she blew me and was very rude smh won’t be goin back there and they should always have ice for drinks why have juice if u have Noe ice

Popeyes at 1551 Saratoga Ave, San Jose, CA 95129 is one of my favorite chicken places to go. The chicken is always cooked perfectly, the employees have always been polite and attentive, and generally speaking, the restaurant is kept fairly clean. The kitchen area, from what I could see, looks very well maintained.My favorites are the cole slaw, red beans and rice, ice tea, truff chicken sandwich, and my absolute favorite-the fried apple pies!Popeyes is not for people who are trying to maintain a healthy diet but the quality of the chicken used is far better than other chains.So why only 4 stars you ask? Well, this building looks like it was originally a bank. The original remodel looks good, especially the dining area, but certain areas of this restaurant are in need of another remodel, specifically the men's restroom. To me, it is in unacceptable condition.Please give this restaurant a try.

Went to closest location off of Steven's Creek on National Fried Chicken Sandwich day . I ordered via app and picked up myself in person . The outside parking lot is very narrow be careful when exiting since the side of the building is very dark and in a corner . The service wasn't bad since I had ordered in advance, the cashier was able to accommodate both walk up orders and pick up orders . I did notice that the staff was working as a unit and looked cohesive which was promising . I did try and make sure I got in and out of there quickly but I left too quickly because I noticed we were missing 1 of our Plain Fried chicken sandwiches from our app deal . I was able to get compensation for the error via the app . The food was good and overall the National Fried chicken sandwich day was a success.

The manager was very kind to offer me a free soft drink when I forgot to order it.The food here is fresh and hot.Franchised fried chicken joints are generally a disappointment but this place got my hopes high again for popeyes!
