I feel bad because I haven’t done this sooner. I can finally remember Larry’s name. I am writing this review over “some time” vs a one-off experience. It wasn’t until my most recent experience where I began to think “could Larry be the owner” of this store? I wasn’t sure if this was a chain or not, I just love the cuisine. I must say, when I come to this store, I used to say “I wonder if my friend is there today” when i can now say “I wonder if Larry is there?” As a small business owner, I know value! And if I could afford Larry, I would hire him! I know the max is a five star review, but I’ve always felt Larry deserved every bit of a higher score. For those who have ever gone into an establishment and felt expertise that was underpriced vs. the service level given, you’d know what I mean. Major salute to Larry, and I hope Sajj recognizes you in the for your VALUED efforts.

Sajj is one of the few chains I go to, and I really enjoy it. It’s fast-casual, fresh, and the service is always friendly. I used to go to the location in Mountain View, now if I eat at Sajj it’s typically this one on Coleman. One of my favorite reasons for visiting both locations - Larry. He is always welcoming, jovial, and smiling and is absolutely the reason we come back here. If you’re hungry and want something quick, healthy-ish, and served with kindness and a smile, stop by to see Larry at Sajj on Coleman.

Delicious delicious delicious! You must try this place out. They have so many healthy toppings for your bowl (beets, cauliflower, eggplant, garbanzo beans, etc) AND they do not charge extra for most of them. Even hummus is not an additional charge. (Compare that to Halal Guys that charges for everything that’s actually good.) each bowl also comes with a complimentary lentil soup that is so good.
Not to mention, the customer service is always exceptional.
The one caveat is that I don’t think this is a low calorie food at all!.

This food is soooooooo good! Can’t believe the freshness and amazing tastes. The owners were super nice and offered as many tastes of the foods as we wanted. Portions were big.

Overall great customer service. I placed my order online and it was ready by the time I got there. The workers were also welcoming and friendly.
I ordered the Family Meal for $68 (paid extra +$5 for chicken kebab) and the protein portion seemed smaller than expected for the price. I used the $5 off for my first online order but honestly I probably won't order the family meal again because it looks like if you make individual orders the protein portion is larger. It tasted healthy but the description it says that it can feed 4 people, but that was barely the case.

Was craving some loaded falafel. For me, that means with most or all of the traditional trimmings. I like the usual iconic San Jose places, like the drive-in etcetera, but I was craving more, and this place really delivered! I will be back. Friendly service, nice atmosphere, delish food , good value!!

Very stingy with protein side. I workout, so for $6 - half the price of their entree - I was hoping for a decent portion of protein. Instead, the staff argued $6 is only worth a tiny spoonful. And it wasn't even a real spoonful of meat, it had onions and peppers mixed in. I really like Sajj, but the greed is ridiculous. I'd rather go to Panda across the street

Excellent Selection of Mediterranean food in a convenient takeout or eat in the building environment. The people are nice they are informative. The place is clean. There’s a bathroom that’s accessible. The food was fresh and the beverages were cold. I will definitely come back.

We had the Steak Shawarma wraps, which come with complimentary lentil soup. The food is all halal. You can get custom wraps where you choose the sandwich fillings (steak/chicken shawarma, hummus, garlic spread, diced beets, etc.). Both wraps were really good. They also have something called "Shawafel" which is a combo of shawarma and falafel, that I might try next time. The place was very clean, and the staff was welcoming, friendly, and polite. I will definitely be eating here again.
Vegetarian options: Falafel, Hummus, Salad, etc.
