Their cheese fries are " FUEGO!!!!" And their strawberry lemonade is light and refreshing, but not overly sweet. Amazing!!!!

Don't let the name fool you, Sizzling Lunch is an awesome dining option any time of day. I've been a regular here since I found out about it a few years ago and I won't be stopping any time soon. The food is delivered to the table raw and unmixed on a sizzling hot plate, allowing you to mix everything up and cook it to your desired level before chowing down. The real stars of the show in my opinion are the Garlic Shoyu and Teriyaki sauces that are available on every table. They form a delectable combination, and as soon as my meal arrives at the table I'm pouring a generous portion of each on top of my food so that the flavors can meld together as it cooks. It may be all in my head, but there is something great about digging into a dish of steaming food that was cooked just a few second ago. Forget farm-to-table, it's all about pan-to-mouth for that truly fresh experience.A final word of advice from personal experience, don't wear a white shirt! While they provide a small paper splash guard around the food, there will inevitably be some splatter that escapes the confines of the plate and winds up on everything within a one foot radius so be careful and plan ahead.

We came here on a weekday evening for dinner. There was no wait and we were seated immediately. The staff was super friendly and all the ordering is done through the iPad. I got the Chicken Pepper Rice with Cheese add-on (extra $1.75). It was pretty good - I felt that it wasn't too flavorful by itself, but if you add the additional sauce that is provided on the side, it's pretty good! I loved that the rice was a bit crunchy and the cheese was melted and cheesy on top which was it a good combination! Overall, I loved my experience here and will be back in the future to try other items on the menu!

Food is great. But I bought food to go. And was forced to leave a tip.. I already was paying $18 for a plate with the minimum tip it was over $20. Not worth it.

Passed by this place for years and thought to myself "it's probably not as good as pepper lunch" and so I never thought twice about going. But I finally tried this place because it is local and I didn't feel like cooking. It was so good! I think the ingredients are simple and straightforward so you can't really mess this up even if you tried... but it was hot, flavorful, comforting, delish and allowed me to mentally transport to Japan for a hot second. Service lovely and relaxed.

I loveeeee sizzling lunch! The beef udon is definitely a comfort meal for myself. I love to pack it on with the garlic shoyu, teriyaki sauce and top it off with an egg. Not to mention, the service here is really good! The workers here are always super sweet and nice. I came in on a Friday night and the wait wasn't too bad! Definitely recommend checking this place out and trying the beef udon

Pretty similar/comparable to Pepper Lunch, a good solid meal for a pretty reasonable price. I liked the salmon udon and felt that the portion size was perfect!Ordering takes place through a kiosk at the table but the service is prompt and attentive. Simple interior with a large amount of seating, great place for a quick meal!

One of our favorite places to eat in San Jose. Sizzling Lunch is almost like if fajitas met fried rice. You're served your meal on a very hot plate, with the rice and toppings in the middle and meat on the edges, cooking through the hot plate. So the meat and rice gets crispy and very good. Once you make sure the meat is cooked through, mix everything up and you're good to go. There's multiple options, from rice to glass noodles to udon noodles. The service is quick and servers are nice. You do your ordering through an iPad on your table. The inside of the restaurant isn't anything too fancy, but it's nice. Food is great and also great leftover, since the portions are pretty big!

This place was surprisingly great. Didn't know what to expect going in. It was an improvised lunch plan with coworkers. The food was really good.

I ordered Garlic Beef Pepper Rice and also claimed the check in free egg (great addition to the meal). The quantity was good, and the dish was tasty. I added some sauce to fit my salt tolerance. The beef was tender and the bottom rice was crispy. Unfortunately I ate too fast and forgot to take pic this time. Warning: after eating here, all your clothes + you will smell like food. It was closed door restaurant with lots of smoke inside. If you plan to go out right after eating, then it's better to pick a different place. Probably would come back again! ;)

The entire place smells like grilled meat, yum. It'll also leave that smell on your clothes. It was packed on a Sunday night. But we didn't have to wait since there was one last table available, although the three of us had to sit at a table meant for two. There were two large tables at the back that had already been reserved for a larger party of around 10.Ordering is done on a tablet on the table.I ordered the pork belly with glass noodles. It wasn't that flavorful without the garlic shoyu and teriyaki side sauces but came with a decent pile of bean sprouts and julienned carrots. We also ordered the tofu pepper rice and garlic beef pepper rice (adding in an egg, onions, mushrooms, and curry sauce for extra charge). The curry is delicious but I'm pretty sure it's just S&B's curry. The house salad has a delicious sauce (some kind of orange-colored vinaigrette) but so much corn. It also had cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, red onions, and a small amount of spring mix lettuce.

Fresh tasting and a neat experience in dining. Located conveniently near a Sprouts Market and a Paris Baguette in a strip mall with plenty of parking. The service was good and the food is plenty good with a good portion size.

Great place for sizzling Asian food. I had the Spicy Garlic Beef Pepper Rice plate and added an egg and kimchi and it is a large portion of food. Also had their specialty dragonfruit and strawberry sugarcane drink which was also very good. Ordering and paying is from the tablet on the desk and food arrived quickly.

Pros: clean and spacious, new and interesting concept, good selection of food, convenient ordering system on the tablet, squid on skewer was very yummy. Lots of parking spotsCons: very unfriendly server: she was pointing to the table instead telling us where to sit, when I asked her if I should sit where she was pointing she raised her voice, when my husband wanted to check ingredients of a drink in the refrigerator she confronted him. If drinks were not supposed to be touched by customers then remove the refrigerator from the seating area. They didn’t accept to bring the drink with “no ice” because “all ingredients were measured snd ice was required”!!!Not many drink options, even the popular one was out at 12pmPepper rice didn’t taste pepper at all
