We came here on a weekday evening for dinner. There was no wait and we were seated immediately. The staff was super friendly and all the ordering is done through the iPad. I got the Chicken Pepper Rice with Cheese add-on (extra $1.75). It was pretty good - I felt that it wasn't too flavorful by itself, but if you add the additional sauce that is provided on the side, it's pretty good! Passed by this place for years and thought to myself "it's probably not as good as pepper lunch" and so I never thought twice about going.But I finally tried this place because it is local and I didn't feel like cooking. It was so good! I think the ingredients are simple and straightforward so you can't really mess this up even if you tried... but it was hot, flavorful, comforting, delish and allowed me to mentally transport to Japan for a hot second. Service lovely and relaxed.

Don't let the name fool you, Sizzling Lunch is an awesome dining option any time of day.
