Not considering the price, I'd give a three star, as the food is mediocre (although, the seafood ramen only has one shrimp in there) Considering the price, even one star is a compliment. For Korean food, you are much better off going to gogo7 in San Francisco.

SGD used to be my go to place for takeout kbbq 3-4 yrs ago, but man, it has def gotten very pricey for an order - almost $40 for one person, I might as well go to the local bk lounge and get my bbq hankerings for ~$15 and no need/oblig/guilt assoc with the tipping issue, if you know what I mean.... Nowadays, I'll just prob hit SGD only once or twice a year even though their quality is still fairly decent and their qty is somewhat similar although I think they've skimped a little bit here and there over the pandemic yrs. Btw, the prices you currently see on the menu on yelps website is old and wrong, its way higher, which is what I wrote abt earlier, chk it out if you don't believe me. Not sure if/when SGD will update on yelp - def a case of false ads.

Hotpot bibimbap here is absolutely delicious. Service is prompt and friendly. Their ramen is great too. Highly recommend!

Seafood Tofu is pretty good. I always get spicy for my soup and they make it spicy enough for the kick and not overpowering. The broth had the right taste of the cooked seafood of shrimp and clams. They add on egg that pretty much cook though so breaking the yolk wasn't possible. Maybe I'll ask them to stir it next time or leave it out. It comes with purple rice and add an order of spicy cucumber cause I didn't see Kim Chi on machine to order. I'd definitely be coming back.

I've eaten at SOGONGDONG TOFU TOWN twice now. The first time, we ate on-site in the food court, and the 2nd time I did takeout. We seldom eat at Korean restaurants, but we do get the bibimbap at the food truck every time we go to a San Jose Earthquakes game. And we really enjoyed watching the Korean series "The Gentlemen's League" on Netflix, where they frequently feast on something. So I have a lot of Korean food envy! Anyhow, chicken bibimbap at SOGONGDONG TOFU TOWN is terrific. The chicken is tender (I get the extra chicken for $4), it comes with some purple rice, and there are so many interesting little side dishes. It reminds me a lot of a poke bowl, although the way they serve this dish, it is 2x the size of a poke bowl. Since I'm not a big eater, I get 2 meals out of one dish. Last night's serving came with 2" round containers of yellow pickled daikon, a sunomono-like cucumber salad, macaroni salad, and Kimchi. Only the kimchi was spicy. The hot sauce is on the side, so you can spice the bibimbap to your liking, and I only used half of its container. The other great thing is, the next morning, i had a great BM. So I think these fermented foods are really good for digestion. Important for us old people. The restaurant is inside of the Hmart grocery store, near the Saratoga-Sunnyvale Rd (De Anza Rd) exit off Hwy 85. Hmart has a small food court in the back west side of the store. Hmart is also a good place to buy Korean groceries, but they also carry a lot of Japanese food items. Although the only sushi there is Korean style, not Japanese style.

It’s inside Hmart supermarket! Has plenty of parking spot during weekdays, it’s right off 85 freeway off DeAnza Blvd. perfect spot to stop by for road trip. Easy in and out, restroom break, and bought some snacks too. I recommend Soon Tofu soup, and Hotstone Bibimbap. Spicy Rice cake appetizer was good, if you like spicy stuff.

I went here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and had the beef bibimbap on a stone plate. The stone plate was very hot and kept the food hot the whole time! The food was very tasty, I enjoyed it a lot. There are a number of tables and we were able to find a spot (for a group of 8) although by 1:00, basically all the spots had been filled up.

When dine in and order on Kiosk, double check if you want to pay a tip. The kiosk automatically add 10% while it is a self-serving restaurant.

Solid Korean restaurant inside the H Mart food court! You order on a tablet and then pick up your food when it is ready. I got the chicken bulgogi entree which came with purple rice and a couple side dishes (kimchi and fishcakes). My sister got the mushroom tofu soup with ramyeon and it came with a couple (different) side dishes as well. While the food was pretty pricy to me, both dishes were very tasty and came out pretty fast!

Unexpectedly solid. I had a tofu seafood soup, which was delicious. Helpful, friendly staff in this H Mart food shop. I will be back.

This restaurant is inside H-Mart which is very convenient. No doubt that every time I crave for Korean food.. this is my go to place. Food is very tasty, fresh ingredients and with large proportions compared to others. And oh! Their purple rice is the best :). Great customer service too!

Service was great, and casual in this open air grocery restaurant. The Beef Bulgogi dish was decent, and the portions are large. The pickled kimchi and radish on the side was good as well. The quality of beef could be better though, priced at almost $30 for the Bulgogi entree, everything else was fine.I might give this place another try.

It is located in H Mart. STT food is always fresh, delicious, and generous! It is our family's go-to Korean food place. The service is always an A+ fast and friendly.

I got the chicken bibimbap on a sizzling plate and it was fantastic and huge - good for sharing! Next time I'd opt in for the non sizzling plate version (also less expensive). It comes with some tofu strips which were good! It was much larger than the tofu soup (photo for comparison) and around the same price. Service was pretty fast - they have your order ready by the cashier and you pick it up and bring the hot plate to your table. It's also inside of H-Mart! I also created a video on Instagram and TikTok (@colorful.eats)~

We got the kalbi, pork bulgogi, bibimbap, tofu soup and ddukbokki. The food was so-so, not as good as I've had at other SGD Tofu restaurants. The best dishes were probably the tofu soup and ddukbokki. The kalbi was a little tough, and the bulgogi was not really seasoned well. The banchan were kind of boring. I ordered takeout from Doordash, and they were on time and friendly. Probably will not go back, just disappointed in the food quality.
