Best pad thai in the neighbourhood!

Thai Soul Kitchen is an apropos name - the family vibe is strong and the vibe shines through the food. Call to make sure they have a table. Bangin’ curries, noodles for days, distilled vegetarian menu - we’ll be back

Found this place while visiting San Jose. Overall the food was pretty good, a little too sweet for my liking but everything was served hot and fresh with big portions. The atmosphere is very quaint and cute. I love the decor and the all the employees seemed fairly kind and helpful with helping us decide on what to order.

Very disappointed at the lunch today.
We arrived around 12:35 and placed the order immediately. First dish came around 13:05 without side rice and we had to ask for it. Then our curry and pork belly stew too forever to arrive, despite we asked twice for them, they checked with the kitchen and saying they are preparing for it. The funny thing is finally when the dishes came after an hour, the curry was already cold, apparently ready for a long time.
Food taste was just ok, the pork belly was way too fatty that abut 80% of the meet is pure fat.

Not the best thai resto but decent enough. It's also on the pricier side. The thai green curry is far from the one i had in bangkok. I like the mango sticky rice though.

I had a mixed experience at this restaurant.

It’s in a good location with plenty of parking. The menu offers a wide range of choices to select from. They offer two separate menus - vegetarian and regular!

The pricing felt quite steep compared to similar restaurants I have tried before. For what we paid, the portions were noticeably small, and some dishes seemed a bit light on key ingredients/ protein. Additionally, while the dishes were flavorful, the balance was missing.

If you’re looking for a place with wide range of choices and don’t mind spending a bit more, it might be worth trying.

We went for lunch and were seated immediately.. we ordered the roti(which was good), eggplant curry(which was good), tofu basil fried rice (which was good but lacked basil) and the mango mousse (which was excellent)..

We screwed up the order.. The vegetarian menu has eggs in the fried rice and we assumed no eggs.. the rice came with eggs but they were nice enough to get us a new plate with no eggs.

Service is very good even though they were short staffed. Tad expensive for the area but not a deal breaker

Tried a new Thai place today called TSK and really enjoyed their food. Luckily we got seated right away but I noticed how quickly it got filled. The space is small so definitely recommend making a reservation. A lot of people picked up their food too so many people who are familiar with their food end up doing that instead of dining in I suppose.

The staff were incredible.. so kind, so well spoken and really made us feel welcome and helped us make our order suitable for our needs. Due to unable to have spicy food, the team ensured a lot of the food was made non spicy. The one dish I asked for mild spicy was made exactly that - mildly spicy ! The food was cooked fresh (I could tell from the veggies) . Coming to what we ordered.. we got the mango salad, pineapple fried rice, Panang curry and the pad Thai. I had never tried a mango salad so was really surprised with how awesome this was.. the Panang and rice were good too. I was less impressed with the pad Thai here but overall food wise I think it was good and more importantly fresh! Portion sizes were good too.

We also ended the meal with some candies from Thailand which was a highlight for my kid. I will be ordering from here again and coming to dine in again :)

2nd review 3rd visit. Their pork belly is great according to my friend. The pan Thai is really so so to my own taste. Especially the beef came with it has no seasoning at all. You can taste the non freshness of it. Will come back but will never try anything noodle related.

A small place and they can get overwhelmed if they are short staffed, but it's worth the wait! There were many people here, several Thai, so we knew it would be good. We ordered the Khow Soy to share and mixed in a bit of the smokey hot chili sauce- was a perfect portion. It was SO good! Will definitely come back here for authentic, delicious Thai food!
