The food was pretty good this time except for the patty for the loco moco wasn't seasoned at all which kinda ruined this visit, but oh well i will be back anyways. The 2 egg breakfast my Dime had and she likeded it.

Wow the coffee shop brings back so much nostalgia of old school coffee shop diner style. We came in on a Sunday afternoon. My son was craving for pancakes. We knew if we went to any of the other breakfast spots it would be so packed and have a long wait. This place really hits the spot. Love that they offer rice as an option to your plate combination. There pancakes were comforting. Nothing crazy. The kids loved them. There omelettes were great too! The menu is pretty straightforward and there's nothing wrong with that in my opinion. Our food came out fast and the service was great! Definitely will be coming back and have the kids bowl next time after brunch.

I live very close to this coffee sho..their food is ok.. I have been eating there for 10 years now at least twice a week .if I order something I expect it to be cooked as I requested but today I was told by the owner that I am not to ever be served food there again..this is due to the fact that every time I order a steak there the cooks never cook it right.. I always ask for a ribeye steak cooked medium well with no mushrooms..my steak came out well done and I looked at the steak..instead of it being a ribeye it was a New York strip steak..the ribeye steak Is at least two or so more dollars more.. I have been charged twice for a steak they claim it's a ribeye and it definitely isn't a ribeye.. I took my complaint to the owner the entire dinner not eaten from the day before..told her I didn't want another steak and wanted to bring it to her attention then threw the entire plate in the trash..the next time I tried to order it was only a cup of soup..the diner wasn't even busy..45 minutes later the waitress decided to come take my order and I had told her I didn't want the soup anymore..today I was phoning in an order for a single pancake the waitress told me the owner said don't serve me..10 years I have been supporting this diner..10 years..really..

Best Loco Moco outside of Hawaii! Love the old school diner feel. No frills just good consistent food and friendly service. I've searched for the best loco moco all over the bay area and this place never fails. Perfect steamed rice, char grilled patty cooked to your liking, gravy may or may not be from scratch but it's smooth not clumpy and not salty. They feature other Hawaiian breakfast staples but I'm just here for the loco moco.

Vast menu of American eats, taste and portion sizes are on point. Cant wait to come back and try something else. This diner is really a gem in SJ. Servers were nice and attentive.

This is one of the OG's cafe this bring back memories. Workers are nice and always smiling especially their cook. Out favorite to order there is the ham and cheese omelette with swiss cheese and hash brown on the side with A-1 steak sauce. It's our favorite. One of the best place and really good tasting food!! I hope they will never close.

What a nice place to spend a Mother's Day brunch! Separate room in the back with a reserved table was nice. The food was cooked just right and tasty! Huge variety to choose from where we had a loco moco, BLT, soup of the day and more. We've come many times for weekend brunches where the waiters/waitresses are very attentive and helpful.

Good food good prices … first time I got linguica and avocado omelette with hash brown and toast hearty serving and this time I got the corned beef sandwich with fries and my boyfriend’s second time getting the BBQ sirloin of beef on a French roll with fries and a side of potato salad! They are connected with the bowling alley they’ve been here since I was a kid so well over 20-30 years. Just started eating here and wish I would’ve been coming here all these years! Old school diner vibe! Update: BAE said that the bbq sauce was just poured over the sirloin of beef inside of the sandwich was dry as hell and fries are not seasoned at all. Changed from 5 Star to 3 star

Great post-war style diner. The food is decent, and the the staff is friendly. I was surprised Walter sobchak was not there. Bowling alley is attached for those who need it.
