The place is all right and the staff is friendly but the cocktails are pure trash. Do not.

Great place to go out and have a drink with your friends. Good vibes , good drinks , good crowd.Prices are pretty pricey but I guess it makes sense due to how popular this location is.Would have gave them a 5 star but one small event that happened to me got me upset. My man bought me and my friends flowers and we had them on the table after we purchased 350$ plus worth of bottles service and then obviously kept buying more and more drinks. Then we all decided to go dance on the dance floor and some of us went outside to get some air . We went back to the table not even 10-15 mins after to find that they sold our table to someone else even tho they knew we were still there. Then they threw away all our flowers $100 plus worth.Like I get you guys are trying to make money and want to sell bottle service but that was rude to give away our table to make a quick buck. So over all if I would have never experienced that I would have gave them a 5 star. But that experience gave them a 3 star.

Came here on a rowdy night during a bar crawl. I've passed by this spot a lot on nights out downtown but it always looked crowded, loud, and a bit musty. Luckily it was emptier on the Friday that my friends and I came in. They had deals on their mango daiquiris (?) which weren't too thin but also not too strong. The staff was friendly when we ordered. There was decent space for a dance floor and the music was fine for Bay Area hip hop vibes. All in all I think it was a worthwhile bar crawl stop with space to dance and drinkable drinks but I wouldn't fight tooth and nail to wait in a line for it. Not sure if there's themed nights but it does seem to be a downtown favorite for some!

So fun. Little ratchet but that's the whole fun. 60% ugly guys. But it's g. Bartenders are amazing!

Definitely my favorite hangout in San Jose. I moved there and didn't know anyone. This was the first place I made friends and felt welcomed and at home. Great drinks! Good vibes! Good people! Unique family owned atmosphere and really good live music. Artists come from all over the world to play there. I love this place and would definitely recommend it.

I had a fantastic time at Tiki Pete! The decor is so unique and interesting, and it really adds to the atmosphere of the bar. The DJ was okay, but the real star of the show was the cocktail flight - it was a must try! I loved trying all the different flavors and combinations. The crowd was nice and friendly, and it was a great place to dance too. Overall, I highly recommend Tiki Pete for a fun night out with friends or a special occasion. Can't wait to go back!

AS MENTIONED IN SOME OF THE OTHER RECENT REVIEWS, PLACE IS UNSAFE AND DANGEROUS ESPECIALLY FOR WOMEN! DO NOT GO HERE! I wish I had read the reviews before going for my Birthday. Went with a group of 5 women and 5 guys. We purchased bottle service to have the table in the middle for our group. We hadn't been there for more than 30 minutes when two guys came up to our area and started to grind on one of the girls in our group and when she politely asked him to back away and not touch her he became enraged. One of the males in our group went up to him and told him the girls just want to dance as a group and to please give her space. The aggressor then spit on him and told him to go outside because he was "going to kill him". The aggressor's friends then surrounded our table asking the male in our group to go outside. Our friend said he didn't want problems he was just asking the aggressor to not grope the lady and move away. We called security and told them what happened. Security came and we thought he was removing the guy but they didn't. They were talking to him as the aggressor was trying his best to push through them to get back to our table all while shouting at our table asking our male friend to go outside. Meanwhile three of the aggressors friends were surrounding our table. The males in our group got all of us women to the corner while they stood there seeing what was going to happen. The aggressor even made a gun reference. I was perplexed why security wasn't kicking him out as he was clearly the aggressor or why they let his friends "stand guard to intimidate us'' When we went to ask security why he wasn't being removed, security replied with "He is our homie" A friend in our group said he had seen that same aggressor and two security guys doing drugs in the bathroom right before this. I was scared. I felt like we were sitting ducks and no one was going to help us. I then went to find the owner who then told me he wont kick him out he will just make sure we are separated in the place!!! The owner said "he is telling us you guys are the aggressor" as he said that the aggressor came right up in front of the owner and flipped our table off and said "come outside Im going to kill you" to the male at our table. I then looked at the joke of the owner and said "really, you just heard and saw that and we are the aggressor?!!" to which the owner replied "not sure what you want me to do. I said I want help leaving this place can you help me or do I need to call the police to help us leave and the owner just shrugged his shoulders - do what you gotta do. UNREAL!!! We were able to escape - I call it escape because thats exactly what it was when the aggressor, his friends and security went to the back bathroom to do god knows what but we then ran out - a night out ending in our group having to literally run for our lives is unbelievable. I cannot believe that place is still in business and the owner hasnt had lawsuits as I read after there was a recent shooting. Shady place! Ghetto and DANGEROUS!

Best to go in a group. Not the safest establishment. Do not recommend especially if you are only females.

The girl who helped us was nice but wait time was really long and there was nobody there but two other people besides me and my cousin. All of the staff decided to take their break at the same time and there was nobody attending the bar for a good 20 minutes.

I typically don't leave any reviews but today was so slow. My cousin and I went to get drinks and there were only two other girls there. The person who helped us was nice but then her and everyone else working decided to go on lunch at the same time. No one was attending the bar for about a good while. We wanted to order more drinks but we decided to leave because it was so slow it was ridiculous. It was just very unprofessional that everyone went on lunch at the same time and left the bar unattended.

Great place, friendly staff, had a lot of fun with friends and family. Chill prices, what you would expect from a downtown establishment. 10/10 would recommend.

LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The music is always great!!! Always meet fun and humble people here. Always see people dancing and enjoying themselves and not being clique-y or wallflowers. Wide age group goes which is nice if you are in your late 20s or mid or early 30's and still want to go out. No need to get all dressed up. Dress code is relaxed compared to most clubs downtown especially for men. Staff is nice and doesn't have a stick up their a** like other clubs downtown this includes the owner, bartenders and security they are ALL chill. I've seen security at other clubs downtown play games and act sooo rude towards customers major turn off if you want people to keep coming back. If there ever is a cover charge at tikis its very affordable. Drinks are affordable and they ARE strong and tasty like the owner Pete says LOL. I was here when there was an artist performing and it was very fun and still affordable to get in. Probably my favorite place in downtown san jose to be honest. I've been to pretty much all the places too. Please don't change tikis!

So we went into Tiki Pete's this weekend to pregame a disco event downtown and it was a great call! The drinks were strong and delicious and the vibe was right. The service was friendly but we did have to get up a few times to ask for more or then check but there was a big fighting match on so they deserve some slack. One thing though that did keep us uncomfortable most of the visit was how humid hot it was towards the back of the restaurant where we were sitting. Felt sticky so next time we'll try to get a table by the door. Also don't go in thinking you can have some dinner they are in between cooks so no food was being served and we came in knowing exactly what dishes we wanted to try! Disappointed but labor shortages are affecting businesses everywhere. Thankfully Taco Bell cantina is next door for some food! Great spot!
