I’ve been coming to Tony & Alba’s for years with my family, but after this experience, they’ve completely lost us as longtime customers.

I stopped by to pick up dinner for my sick child and ordered a kids pasta with meatballs. The owner questioned me in front of a crowded restaurant full of people celebrating graduations and asked where my child was. I explained that my child was sick at home and I was simply picking up dinner for them. He then responded, “Next time you need to bring your kid.”

The entire interaction felt humiliating, judgmental, and completely unnecessary. There was no signage, disclosure, or policy stating that a child must be present to order from the kids menu. Instead of handling the situation professionally or privately, I was made to feel embarrassed in front of a packed restaurant.

What disappointed me most was the lack of compassion and respect. As a parent trying to bring food home to a sick child, I did not deserve to be questioned or spoken to that way.

Unfortunately, after years of supporting this business, I will not be returning and would not recommend others visit if they want to avoid feeling judged or publicly embarrassed.

We ordered pizza and pasta for an event in Little Italy’s The Cellar. Food was fantastic! That spinach pizza was out of this world! I can always count of their food to satisfy the crowd!

Great community, wonderful service, pizza was good.

Been coming to Tony Albas since 2012, food and service has always been great, family owned and comforting dining ambiance, usually get the Linguini red clam sauce or Tony’s Special Pizza. If you’re a Paesano member they will send you coupons in the mail, deals are pretty good.
