We had a very pleasant evening there playing darts and trivia, drinking and eating the shepherds pie, which was very good. It's a cozy place so don't go when it's crowded. It was a Thursday night so I recommend trying it on Thursdays. The bartender was very friendly.

One of the best bars in San Jose, this place actually feels like a neighborhood British pub, unlike other WE ARE BRITISH bars in the Bay Area. They've got a couple ales on cask, they've got bitters, they've got basic lagers and ciders. They've got a fireplace in the back if you want to warm up in the winter. They play punk music and some reggae. They have a quiz night if you're one of the folks who's into that. Bartenders are great, chill to talk to but ignore you if you want to be ignored. The food is good, if it was a restaurant I'd probably be giving four stars. English breakfast is nice, bangers are solid, fish and chips are pretty good for the Bay Area though if you're from Manchester they'll probably be just enough to make you miss home and be mad about it. Drag a friend out on light rail, have a cask ale, have some dinner. Listen to the Pogues. Have another ale. Listen to the neighborhood folks laugh and chat. It's amazing this place is so close to downtown.

Wonderful Experience at Trails Pub in San Jose!Trails Pub in San Jose is a gem that should not be missed. Whether you're looking for a delicious meal, a relaxed atmosphere, or a great selection of drinks, this place has it all. Nice beers on tap, loved the Smithwicks. My partner has Dragon's Slayer. We wanted to play darts, and you can just request darts from the amazing bartender.I can't wait to return and try more of their offerings.

The curry is delicious and the ambiance cozy and comfortable. Reminds me of the Queen Inn Pub in Winchester, England, compete with the real fireplace!

No nonsense pub, we've been going to this place for years with consistent good service and scrumptious Canadian chips. Come one come all!

Generous pours of a diverse set of beers, ranging from wheat to stouts. And then the combinations thereof. Had a chill Friday evening here and got a ploughman's plate, though one of the cheeses was a bit fungal. Decent prices & friendly staff. We took vta here, but parking might be possible on nearby streets.

The food was amazing and they serve beer you don't find in most places. I got ignored a little bit so I didn't have all the beer I was hoping to, but the shepherd's pie really made up for what I had at a different pub earlier in the week.
