Orderd here for a graduation cake and it was made exactly how I wanted it!! Good prices!!!
Van’s Bakery has been part of our community for over 30 years, baking not just cakes, but memories.
From birthdays to weddings, to everyday sweet treats, their desserts have been woven into so many life's joyful moments.
But what they did for our family was truly touching. When my cousin tried to order a multi-tiered cake for her dad’s 100th birthday, the owners gently refused payment. They insisted on gifting the cake as their way of honoring his incredible milestone.
We were deeply touched. In that moment, we weren’t just customers. We felt like family.
Van’s Bakery runs their business with heart, and their kindness reminds us what community is all about.
Thank you for the last 30 years, and cheers to many more to come! 💕👏💐

Went on a Saturday morning to get a birthday mocha cake. Staff was friendly and cake was ok and dry. The have other cake options such as Ube and Pandan flavored.
This place is amazing! I had my custom gender reveal cake from this shop and it’s perfect. They respond to email inquiries promptly and in detail. Most bakeshops would require at least a week in advance to place orders and this is the only shop (in San Jose) that accepted my order on such a short notice (3 days) without any extra charge. I honestly didn’t expect much, given the time frame and not to mention that it’s Holiday Season. I was sooo happy it turned out really great. My husband and I really loved it. For reference, my custom dumpling strawberry cake measures 6” in dia. & costs $102. It tastes good too. Everything is amazing, including the very accommodating and friendly staff. 100% would recommend this place.

Wow! I haven't seen Bánh Trung Thu Con Heo (Piglet Biscuits) in AGES! But these guys still sell them and the Bánh Nướng (Snow Skin Mooncake) for Tết Trung Thu (Mid-Autumn Festival) ). Not to mention the other baked goods!

Pandan cake was good
they attitude towards us when me and my friend entered the shop. We asked to buy 1 glass of sugarcane juice but they insisted on only 1 glass and asked my friend a difficult question. A glass of sugarcane juice costs $8 but it's really not delicious and they only accept cards for purchases over $10, which makes us confused. We had to buy a small dish to be able to pay and in my opinion, both the dish and the sugarcane juice were not delicious.

I learned about this place on google search for Pandan layers dessert. I drove from another city to there to check it out. I was the only one inside the store in the noon time. I took some pictures because the heart shape jelly layers cakes look so pretty. Unfortunately, the middle-aged lady working there was not that friendly. Make me feel like it's not a good day to be, I just grabbed something very quick and get out of there asap. Maybe she didn't like me took photo or she had a bad day.

Very racist employees. My husband and I walked in since we had eaten some pho at pho hao and wanted to get something sweet to snack on later. As soon as we entered they stared at us and ran behind the both of us on either side when I grabbed an item. The lady on my right side took the item from my hands and told me if I wanted them I can just tell them at the register. This was really upsetting to me because my husband and I weren't the only ones inside. We did not see them do this to anyone else other than to us. Even though they were also getting items from that same table and refrigerators. If you are not Asian I recommend not going here, as you will be racially profiled. We ended up going to the bakery that was further up in that same plaza. Will not recommened this place to anyone and will not come here ever again.

The cakes are soooo good. The store is stuffy and crammed with their store made snacks. I would call ahead and order the cakes in advance and be specific about the decoration. Their cakes are horribly decorated. I got the strawberry shortcake that had right blue drip decoration all over.

I drove all the way from Hayward and I took my nieces to buy the durian bd cake on Tuesday for my other nephew. We were so excited and thought we should be good for the night. Guess what we cut the cake on that same night It was SPOILED even the cream and coconut from the inside tasted sour. It was totally ruined my nephew’s birthday and made me feel so bad.Everyone please AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. If I can rate with a ZERO I WOULD.

The cake from Van's was perfect. It was gorgeous but the photo does not do it justice. I wish I remembered to take a photo of the inside but it was so delicious that I forgot to take a photo. This cake had large chunks of fruit inside. I highly recommend Van's for your party needs. Our cake was completed quickly and for a very reasonable price. What's not to like? Only downside is parking can be a bit rough as it's in a busy plaza.
