I think we just found our new favorite restaurant! It was our anniversary, so we decided to try Veggie Grill which I'd heard about years ago. The items we chose were all delicious, making us want to try other menu options. In fact, it probably took us about 20 minutes to pick just two items. (When you're a vegan, you're not used to this at standard restaurants.) And the outdoor tables were pleasantly situated in the middle of Santana Row next to a little tot...
Their food tastes fresh and flavorful. I enjoyed their baja fish tacos which were crisp on the outside and paired well with a creamy sauce. Their Far East Thai Chik'n bowl was also very good; the chik'n had a crispy and flavorful coating and the curry was rich and fragrant.
The food is decent and the portions are good but NLB still far outdoes veggie grill. The fries are better at NLB and the main options are better too. The incorporation of a delivery only vegan taco place seems a little bit excessive and desperate. I hope NLB opens a location further down the peninsula to replace veggie grill.
