By far, Yas is the best Persian restaurant in the San Jose area. The menu includes a fabulous dessert called saffron ice cream which is to die for!! Also, their koobideh is the best in the area. Looking for Persian food, you got to come to Yas!
Yas Restaurant has some strong points, especially when it comes to the tenderness of the kabobs—they were cooked well and had a nice texture. The grilled vegetables were decent too, but overall, the flavor profile fell short. For a place with such a promising menu, I was surprised by how bland most of the food tasted.
The rice, unfortunately, was overly oily to the point that it became mushy, and a few pieces that fell on my lap left noticeable oil stains...

The food and service is absolutely amazing. My friends and I got the family platter with a few extras. Everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. We highly recommend YAS and will be back again soon.
