J J's Homemade Burgers

Service was bad . The food was just ok . Not as good as it used to be . Don't know what happened to the food. Onion rings used to be the best ever, they were soggy. Probably will not go back sorry to say.

I never eat there each time I visit, I only have a drink but despite this the staff is fast and very welcoming.
We feel great there and when the weather is nice we can relax on the terrace.
I highly recommend you try this place if you're in the area.

Parking: A few free parking spaces right in front of the restaurant and another large free parking lot nearby.

Great burgers. I had the double turkey burger with pepper jack and avocado. Excellent! Fries a little overdone and very expensive meal. But overall, a very old school and laid back diner in a great historic town!

Parking: If you can't find street parking, you can park in public dirt lot on right about 50 yards before the restaurant on the right.

I was there on Monday July 29th. The young girl working there was very rude and acted like I was bothering her she had her cell phone in her hand and she was busy on it. I asked the girl if they had a bathroom and she said just out back but I don't think the door is working so I went back there and was locked so I asked her you guys have a key and she said no it's not working and I can't do nothing about it. When I ordered my food a double burger with no cheese I asked her if fries came with it and she just kept saying do you want fries. I said I only want them if it comes with it otherwise I don't need the fries. She never really answered my question and she just kept asking do you want the fries and I just said okay yeah give me the fries with that burger. When I looked on my phone later I saw that I was charged 10 bucks for the fries and about 20 bucks for the hamburger. Thanks to her I'll never probably eat there again and I usually drive through San Juan Bautista now these days. Anyway the food is great the atmosphere is nice outside but that little girl there she's not friendly and she acts like she's being bothered. This is the first time in my whole life I've ever given a bad review on a person cuz I always give people the benefit of the doubt.

Good burgers but really should look after your food especially your lettuce. My husband and I both had bugs in our lettuce. I’m pregnant and have to always be mindful of what I put in my mouth. Thankfully I saw this. Spent $68 to find bugs in my food. Awesome. Please JJ’s wash your vegetables thoroughly.

Great place and great food. I was a little wary of the price but totally worth it, Especially since this is a fam owned business in SJB. We ordered the double cheeseburger, mushroom cheeseburger, and fish & chips. We could tell it was all fresh (came out steaming), and portions were much bigger than expected. I would definitely come again.Edit: forgot to mention how friendly everyone was.
