Absolutely delicious! The pulpo was perfect; the shrimp was just right; no one wants seafood that’s overcooked. This familia knows how to cook and we loved all of it.

Shrimp tacos were our favorite. Also, we really like the Beria and the fried fish We also loved the nachos and even better was the drink of the day which was pineapple Fresca so, so good. Service was very good. I think our server was Alicia, but I could have the name wrong. She was a young girl,and she was very wonderful and she had her hair in a bun. The only thing that could possibly improve is having may be a little less spicy salsa or pico for the people who don’t like too much spice. Wonderful seafood, can’t wait to try more dishes.

Locally sourced seafood, excellent service, amazing staff and the best selection of salsas I have ever tasted. Light ambience to compliment the meals and motif. Highly recommend this place for anyone into grilled seafood, ceviche, and large platters full of variety. Salud!

We first dined at El Zarandeado in December 2023 and it is now one of our absolute favorite local restaurants! The quality of the food is fabulous and the service is similarly stellar. The prices are reasonable as well. To sum, everything about this restaurant is terrific and we always look forward to dining here! We haven't been on a Tuesday yet, but I'm told they have a terrific taco Tuesday as well! The tacos are terrific so I look forward to trying their taco Tuesday soon!

True to the ratings and will not disappoint you! We had the botana Camerones zarandeados which was a delicious Cajun style. Then tried the tuna ceviche and aguachiles Chápalas. Both were really good and fresh. Even ordered a kids bean and cheese burrito plate for our son that was beyond what you normally get off a kids menu. Will definitely be back!

I almost decided not to write a review because I don't want this place to be so popular that we can't get seats...,but everyone should know how fantastic the food is at this restaurant. It's as authentic as it gets...my god the cerviche and the aguachile is so flavorful and delicious. We come here almost every week and I would come more if time permitted. Last night we had the octopus and the spice and the side of rice was amazing... it was tender and juicy. Love the service and the people that work there. ...can't wait for next week...

I needed to write a review. El zarandeado has by far exceeded my expectations. The food was amazing. I got the pasta zarandeada which was creamy and had a good amount of shrimp. My boyfriend got the ceviche de atún and the green agua chiles. The flavors were outstanding and the quantity was perfect. The best way I can describe it is Mexican style poke. It was fresh and zesty and had the perfect amount of kick. And let's talk about the drinks! We got a michelada and a strawberry margarita. I dare say the best in town. Prices are reasonable and the service was awesome. We laughed and joked with the servers and they were all very attentive. We came here for Valentines Day and although almost every table was occupied we were well taken care of. The ambiance was quiet enough for a date but nice enough for a family dinner. Thanks to everyone here that served us. 10/10 highly recommend:)

First time for my daughter and myself on Saturday. Great service and delicious food I had 2 shrimp tacos - El Gobernador and El Zarandeado - YUM!!!!.... Nice, chill ambiance with soft music in the background. Owner-Connie, came to my table to chat a bit. Super nice and sweet

Had dinner here before a concert at the Coach House. I was curious to try EZ because of all the great reviews. I had the Connie's Birria and my wife had the Scallops. In a word, delicious! The menu is packed full of interesting choices. Service was excellent and ambiance was nice. If you're in San Juan Capistrano and you're in the mood for delicious Mexican food, give EZ a try. You won't be sorry.

Oh my GOSH...WOW! This is an almost hidden gem! The food was HOT (yummy& amazing flavor) the service and servers are all so kind and helpful. We had the shrimp appetizer and it will stay in our minds for awhile! (We order the half order) I had the Tres amigos and let me just say-HUGE fan of the crab & shrimp stuffed Chile Relleno! My taco was also SO delicious (however, the amazing sauces on my plate made the taco soggy so that I couldn't pick it up) Flavor was spot on! After reading other reviews we ordered the Habanero salsa--fabulous flavor and not too hot for us at all. Regular salsa good (we added the Habanero to the regular-YUM) my husband had a spicy margarita that was perfect and I had the Sangria, which was good. His drink wins-my meal wins! Serving size was great! And we did order more food than we could eat (without Wheel barrow), we are thrilled to have left overs! Beautiful plating and presentation. Kyle was our server and he was fantastic! Oh! We had sweet potato cheese cake for dessert! Over the top delicious! This is a small, cozy spot and we will be back!
