Ellie Table in San Juan Capistrano is my new favorite breakfast spot. The lattes and pastries are amazing, the quiches and omelets are mouthwatering, and the location is super convenient - right downtown, next to the mission.
Great combination of counter service and restaurant. We had a pecan sticky bun, cinnamon roll, Ellie's Combo and Bacon Breakfast Burrito. The cinnamon roll was the least great thing we ate and it was very good. I prefer the donut shop style cinnamon roll and they serve the actual rolls from a sheet pan. Frosting was super sweet. Excellent and delicious Cali Benedict eggs and Mexican mocha. Sat outside, location is a short walk to the old mission. The staff was wonderful and obviously took pride in customer service. There was soft jazz playing, and if it had not been on a repeat loop, I would have rated the atmosphere a 5.
