It’s legit Texas style BBQ. Their brisket is amazing and their beans are superb. The last time I went there, they had smoked meatballs which were amazing. Side note: a shoutout to the people in charge of the playlist there: I’ve been there 3 times already and always a good selection ?

If u want to try diff type of smoked meat, get smaller portions of each. 1 thick slice of brisket is about 1/4 lb. The point cut (fatty cut) of brisket was tender, nicely flavor but a bit on the dry side. The pork rib was moist, juicy n had a hint of nut/Carmel (sublime, must try). The Texas chili had a homemade feel. Be adventurous n try new dishes n Enjoy...30 mins line on Thursday 11-1:30. Refreshment can be purchased at the bar while I'm line

Absolutely perfect barbecue! We went with a group and tried a little of everything - the biggest highlight is the beef rib, followed closely by the pork belly. Service was friendly and quite fast, even on a busy rainy day.

Lunch cost for a family of 2 adults and 3 little kids came down to $170! Great food but $170 for lunch?! And more than an hour long line, no place to seat (after waiting more than an hour with kids) hideous restrooms, snobby service, NOT kids friendly.

This Zagat-rated barbecue joint serves legit dry-rubbed, smoked meats in the Texas style. True to down, the meats are so tasty and tender you won't need barbecue sauce, but they provide it if you prefer - I used some on the tri-tip. Prepare to wait in line, especially during peak hours. We waited about 35 minutes in line and we got there around 2:30pm on a Sunday. They also have a separate bar where they serve hard lemonade and a few other drinks and beer. I highly recommend this place and it's definitely one we would always visit again.

It was so damn good that we finished almost of it would even putting on any of the extra sauces. The BbQ made it next level. Expect to wait in line and it doesn’t move super fast because they have you verify and accept every cut of meat you buy. Also you can get almost any weight I know the signs say 1/2 pound. It really it’s any weight. Side weren’t wow meat was the star.

Finally got lunch here on a Thursday arrived before noon and only had about 4 pp ahead of us. After seeing the long lines and reading about this BBQ I was excited to try this and they did not disappoint. We tried the pulled pork and brisket taco, brisket sandwich, mac & cheese and Creole potato salad. Everything was delicious, pork was juicy and portions were large. You get a number if your sitting down to eat, food delivered and it was fast after we ordered. For drinks you order separately at their bar, which they also sold beer. Sodas are bottled. If you want beef ribs they only sell those on the weekends. Service was friendly and thanked us for our business when we left.

I think this place is overrated. The brisket was just okay. Not as flavorful as I’d like. They were also out of a lot of things. The person taking our order had trouble paying attention and forgot to put in my order for biscuits. When we went back to order the biscuit, they were out of them! The restaurant didn’t even care that they made a mistake. On the plus side though, the atmosphere was nice.

Everything they say about this place is absolutely true. It is a superstar restaurant and if you like barbecue, there simply doesn’t get any better than this for many many miles.Stand in line... hopefully it doesn’t loop around the block... order anything they have on the menu. It’s very diverse and not simply ribs and chicken type options... It is all delicious.I also feel that this restaurant has begun the substantial evolution of the downtown dining scene in San Juan. Lots of great new places now, and this seemed to be the first one that got some Michelin attention that pulled some new people down south.Another tip is this place is within walking distance of the train station at Capistrano. Timing your ride correctly would make it a more enjoyable train experience!

Stopped for lunch on my way home from San Diego. Was surprised at how good it was. The pork belly had a sweet hoisin flavor.

It was one of the best barbecues I have ever had. It had a bar outside, and we could drink and order our food at the same time. It was a great experience.
